dude, we were catching 3/4 of a sack per trap in 3' pillow traps on a 8hr soak here in laplace,la!! craziest shit ive ever seen!! i have 3 or so vids on my page.

The best bait i found that works is cut Shad. I also use a nugget of artificial crawfish also.

yes this is a homemade crawfish trap, it is called a pillow crawfish trap or deep water net. it consist of two flews at the bottom end which is made by pushing the ends of the net inward and crimping the wire with small hog clips. You must leave a hole big enough for the crawfish to climb in. I use a Beer bottle to make mine. and close the top of the net only half way so you can open it to retrieve the crawfish once you catch them.
