After every tour, MJ said it was his last. He hated touring - didn't like the constant travel, associated time zone changes, lack of sleep, and being imprisoned in hotel rooms. He continued doing them because he liked the contact with his fans, and it was the best way to promote new albums. People say that the 50 he was to do in London was too much, yet he did 123 on his Bad tour, and that was with world travel included. In London, he would be in one place, and live in a house, not a hotel.

yeah but he was 29/30 years old on the bad tour and he was healthy. no comparison to 50 and not doing so well.

I know that he was 50, and certainly 50 year olds don't tolerate physical stress as well as 25 year olds. HOwever, I would say that he was healthier than most 50 year olds are. Look how he moves around on stage on the tour rehearsal clips. Kenny Ortega as well as the dancers, said that he moved as well as people half his age, and seemed to have great endurance. I think his greatest physical challenge was from old back injuries and lupus, which caused his lungs to be chronically inflamed.

@thea9433 I think that Michael would have been able to pull off the 50 concert dates because he was so happy about seeing his fans again, and because of how fast tickets sold out!! It made him to kknow that people still loved him despite the horrific accusations he had to go through. I've always thought that Michael was INNOCENT, and I still do; that will never change. I just wish that he wouldn't have been taking those harsh meds so that he would've been able to dazzle us again.

@UnwantedBeauty poor thing?? This was the point he became the first music billionaire...nothing poor about that. He doesn't sound tired, thats how he always sounded like, he loved performing.

Never said he didnt like performing, after he finsihed these concerts he didnt perform for awhile this took alot out of him, i know he loved doing it and he never woudl have changed anything he did, but he was tired you could see it when he was finished and you CAN hear it in his voice he doesnt always sound like that, he did 121 concerts if he wasnt completely exhausted after that he must have been some kind of machine, i wasnt saying he was "poor" i was sympathizing
