all you guys hating are ignorant, they are artists and have been, they do what they do and yea they change band members but so what? There style hasn't changed, they just evolved musically as a band and i love them still as much as i did when i was 2 and hope they still make amazingly inspiring music
Dear god, this is one of the most uninspired performances I've ever seen. The guitarists look bored, and Stephen's looking as complacent as ever. What is this? It's like the band has been atrophying before my eyes over the past ten years.
Guys I love this song, i think its honestly your best and good performance, I could tell you were struggling on some vocals parts but your voice is so original, and hey its not easy being a singer, i hope i can see yall live! -Austin,Houston tx
third eye blind should put more of the demos they had from the 90s on albums, like all right caroline. i also wish they had put the demo version of bonfire on an album or something as a bonus track cause the demo version is great too.
@DDTVlaughtillyoupee word. if only stephan would swollow his pride and get an outside producer. i'd say out of the vein and ursa major would have turned out a whole lot different/better if he had.
@blairskennedy I don't think he can tell which songs he makes are good. Now I Don't Know, SRV, In the Skin, Alright Caroline > One In Ten, Why Can't You Be, unnecessary Carnival Barker
@blairskennedy Very well said...I always thought one of Stephans biggest mistakes as an established artist was producing his own work....case in point, the Ursa version of Why Can't You Be? after much unnecessary tinkering from a much purer form on the Red Star EP (and other instances as well).
Love Abe and Tony's background vocals....they're much better singers than Kevin and Arion

I saw them play this at the Bentley Reserve in SF. It sounded great with an orchestra. :)

@nickynice711 agreed, i was very disappointed with why can't you be. it lacked the urgency and soul that i was expecting out of the studio version.
