This is bullcrap. Allowing full contact football before age 11 used to be unheard of. Now we rush our kids towards full contact at the risk of injury stunting their physical development and affecting both their ability to perform on the filed and their health in later years.

@titans091052 Nobody at that age has the speed or power to produce a hit that would do harm. Bruises are about the worst thing that will happen. I have never seen a player get seriousely hurt at that age. Around middle school is where the elite athletes can start actually causing damage.

@football5680 I have several times. I've even seen a 7 year old kid carried off on in the back of an ambulance because of serious neck injury. He lost all feeling below his shoulders. The lack of muscle mass on little kids keeps them from hitting too hard, but that also means they have less protection and it doesn't take much force at all to cause serious trauma. The biggest concern is what repeated hits do to a developing brian. Look it up, it isn't good :/
