Sony Vegas Tutorial - Panning/Cropping, Ease In/Out, Zooming

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM??

when i add text and resize it (from the media generator tab with the background), it will only allow me to move that text in a certain area and when i go above or below that area the text starts to disappear. i've tried maintain ratio but then just automatically becomes to big and wide and i can't get it back to the size i want.. what can i do to fix it please//

Vegas will only let me zoom out so far. I need to zoom out until my image is like 2 pixels wide. Anyone know how to accomplish this? I've watched quite a few panning tutorials today and haven't come across the answer yet. Thanks. -Adam

One word: Keyframing. You first make the first keyframe (the one that only shows you half of it and is to the very left) whatever size you want the clip to be at first. Then you make another keyframe at whatever point in the clip that you think it should zoom its fullest too. On that keyframe, zoom in to however far you want it to be. When you play the clip, it should be smooth..

How do you ease in like effects you know once you have the clip and you want to ease into it?

That grid spacing goes along with the snapping incase you want uniform 'steps' while keyframing stuff, or for zooming into the edge of the video which I noted the grid isnt always aligned with the project size. :P

Also, if you load an image that isnt the same size as your project, the aspect will almost automatically be way off, leaving black to the sides. I believe because the aspect is locked to the image, not the project. For this reason, I've saved a preset for my more common project dimensions.

If you play it in sony vegas it might be just skipping over the pan/crop, it does that alot, try rendering your video, or replaying the same part in vegas a few times.

You weren't sure if all versions had panning and cropping, let me clear that up, Vegas 5.0 had, so 6 and 7 and 8 must have it too, dont know anything lower that 5.0.
