they are asking for >£500 here in the uk for this. i rekon you could get all the parts you need then download the instructions from the lego website and build it for £200. they are near impossible to come-by here. :-(

It looked fantastic.....until I saw that you had to manually adjust the crane using pneumatics. Pity that part's not motorised as well. Still an excellent piece though - much better than the JCB and Seaplane I used to have!

When I was in school I loved lego technic..... I still have all my original stuff with full manuals even the boxes in mint condition!!! Now i'm 28 I'm still in the lego(I get a good slaggin from all that know me) but now I have the buying power!! Just bought me one of these(8421) and a (8275).... Thats about a month of building ahead of me(inbetween work).... perfect for the winter months! Bring it on!

I'm not the author but I can tell you that both the 8421 crane and 8275 bulldozer (form which the motors are from) were about $200 each when they came out.

Four RC motors for: drive (XL), sterring, arms, one for emergency lights (XL). I am trying to motorize the "tower", but unsuccesful.. I want build the krane maximum in original size. One old type motor in originally tower.

@AdamskiLego why are you unsuccesful with motorizing the tower? you're 95% there already. just have one motor drive that air pump, and another motor move the valve switch
