Thom is a gleeman... not much glee in Sam Elliot. Next to that ... Thom sings, ever heard Sam Elliot's voice. Also... Perrin needs to be broad shouldered, and tall... not some whelp. Some are dead on tho, I can see Clive Owen as Lan, just as long as he doesnt talk too much, however i'd like Liam Neeson more for the part. Last but not least of my suggestions... Aes Sedai have an ageless look... how the foosh is Helen Mirren gonna pull that one off?

Whoever plays Perrin needs to have a very bearish physique even before he's selected for the role, and even then, he'll probably need to get even bigger and stronger. If a first glance doesn't make you think, "I hope that guy has a slow temper," he's not Perrin. I'd start looking for bearded bouncers at rough Scandinavian bars.

Most of 'em were pretty good. Fain is perfect. I think you missed with Perrin, though, He's supposed to be big, bear-like. And he needs a beard. And Gawyn's a miss:

1) When I think of a responsible young ruler/protector/officer, I do NOT think of Ashton Kutcher.

2) Galad's older than Gawyn, shouldn't the actor look older, too?

Nice picks, for most of them. Viggo could do Lan or Elyas, same with Owen. But the last one. No real problem with the pick, though he might have to lose his Scottish accent. It's your spelling. I had to read your description to figure out the character. It's "Gareth Bryne" for future reference.

I am incredibly apprehensive about a Wheel of Time movie (too many books, all of which only encompass roughly four-five years, and the Ta'averen are all in their late-teens), but I would be incredibly happy, more than happy, with Samuel as Padan Fain. He is perfect for the role.

And Aragorn as Elyas is pretty cool, but that might just be type-casting him. Not a bad thing, but still.

Nice touch, although, like any others, I disagree with some choices: Lan is must be much older, as must Elias, and Elias must be quite beasty, like (have a look at the 13th warrior cast). But I must say Thom is spot on!

i pretty much liked all your choices except perrin(james franco would be awesome in the movie, but not big enough for perrin...i can't put my finger on who he could be though) and morgase. Your fain and tom were the most perfect selections i've ever seen

I love your Mat he's one of my my favorite male characters.For Nynaeve I think Nora Salinas would be perfect (she's a Mexican actress but they don't have to be al Hollywoodian right?) and I always saw Sigourney Weaver as Elaida.I think you can put Hellen Mirren to play Bair in the following casts and Vanessa Redgrave as Sorilea would be a nice choice.

Sam Elliot as Thom is a great choice. I've always pictured Eliza Dushku as Nynaeve though and Portman was Egwene instead. Whose that for Padan Fain? I kinda see Kevin Spacey or Richard from Lost as him. I need to make one of these now :)

I knew Moiraine when I saw her. She would be perfect. Dennis Quaid =good. Alot of good characters, I disagree with someone. Im really not sure about wether Hayden could pull it off as Rand al'Thor. He could look the part I guess. But not play the part I think. I was impressed by Chris hemingsworth's role in Star trek. He seemed so natural. He is tall and muscular, blu/gray eyes, so on. I thought about Christopher Egan as Perrin, and Nicholas D'Agosto as Mat. But I liked Henry too.
