A lot of fans are mad because they're sentimentally attached to the Red Line. I like that the NHL is trying to make a dull game exciting again. Until the next offensive era we have to have rules that put more pressure on goalies, discourage stoppages and decrease greatly the limitations on the goal scoring. These giants now skating out there with the great size, lame aims and extended reaches are slowly being balanced down to smaller, quicker more skilled players as the average. Patience.

this is possibly one of the most biased, idiotic comments on all of youtube. I'm a huge St.Louis Blues fan, and even i acknowledge that yzerman's goal should have been in there somewhere. The islanders have won like what, 4 or 5 cups? that's nowhere near close to a majority. the canadiens have 26 cups, the red wings have 10. and all the stuff about paying off the refs just sounds childish, and makes me doubt that you have enough intelligence to mount a solid argument of facts, not opinions.

It's funny the Rangers winning in 1994 was number 1. That was hockey's peak, and after that the lockout happened, the Devils introduced the trap, Buttman invented crazy rules to try to stop it, and hockey went to shit.

Agreed and it's TRAGIC! BUTTMAN(funny)expanded a game which averaged 9 goals a game down to what now three? Maybe four? The league has never been more popular, which really doesn't say much. Buttman got the game "Americanized" and such with the division and conference name changes, with WAY TOO RAPID of an expansion in too short of a time and, yes, with these new silly rules. CURSE you Buttman! ..You and the owners got your money but the HOCKEY fans got the short end of the stick, dick.

Emrick, like John Davidson has been all over. Embrick I believe did minor league then he went to Flyers and did some national tv spots but I think at that time it was Thorne/Clement who did most of the national games. Once Embrick went to NJ is when I believe him and Davidson began pairing up for national games.
