Ok.. they rescued the Students and everything but what they don't mention is that those Cuban Soldiers were in Grenada just training Grenadian soldiers. They also don't mention the 15 Cuban Doctors killed because they were speaking spanish and they had camouflage pants!!!. They also don't mention the Grenadian citizens killed, they children and women killed by lost bullets and artillery fire... You fuckers you killed my father!!! Dam you americans!!! Dam You!!!
@zerocker45 the americans are not in control of their country, zionists own them and they bleed for israel, sad but true... they flood people with propaganda (concentrated press ownership) and because its a "free society" everyone thinks they are being told the truth on CNN, FOX, etc etc then they medicate them by putting fluoride in the water supply to "protect their teeth".. but its not for your teeth its for control..
My mom has told me stories about this invasion and what she experienced.... and in this, they make no mention of the Grenadian citizens (not speaking of the military) that actually passed away during all of this. They made it seem very cut and dry... enemy fires, so we fire back and save the students! I'm not sure how much of this I really believe.. I guess because it's only the American stand point. Then again I guess you gotta leave out plenty if you wanna look good publicly.
bull crap......reagan was dead set on invading grenada......that evil cowboy was gonna do what he wanted!!..no matter what/////the medical student were in no danger what-so -ever,
war torn country? The country wasn't war torn... After the killing of the former prime minister Bishop and the implementation of a curfew, there were no fighting... and the US students were never taken hostage, yes they had to abide by the country like everyone else but they were not threatened in any way neither were they guarded or held captive.. it was very different from what occurred in Iran.
I am speaking as a Grenadian and a US Soldier this had nothing to do with harm coming to students. It was about Cuba and Grenada becoming close and the US wanting to prevent it in case Grenada chose to be communist as well. If the US wanted to protect students they would have invade earlier than when they chjose to do so instead they did not find it necessary until Cuba assisted with the creation of a international airport in Grenada.
I started smoking that day as well, laying in a goat pasture with enemy fire overhead. I tugged on PFC Charles Lowe's leg and asked him for a Marlboro. He said, "Boomer, you don't smoke." I said, "I'm fixin to start right now."
The mighty ruskis and its friends ! That's why russia is still a superpower! Fuck these godless , government worshiping , wishing they were still in power assholes,
my cuban blood can't wait until Cuba is FREE!!!!!!
yow the us people could talk real bull shit, real talk. If the grenadian troops wanted to harm those students they would have. They had many opertunity to do so.
Gernda soldiers were not actually want to kill those americans students. if they want they could. it is the americans policy maker who play a game with the risk of americans students.............. Not to allow Communist rule that island. Plzzzzzzzz do deep study. If the students kill that will be the held responsible to americans policy makers. But Gernda soldier didn't shoot any one students............. coz they were not targeting students. it is a game political game by your president.
This had nothing to do w/wanting to harm the students. It had to do w/ the Soviets and the Cubans wanting to use them as pawns to make the Americans do their bidding. They didnt want the US to stop the communist overthrow of the country or the 10,000 foot Soviet airstrip that was being built to eventually bring in nuclear missiles as well as arms to support insurgents in Central America. So to accomplish this w/ out US involvement they decided to not allow the students to leave the island.
President Reagan gave them several chances to avoid invasion simply by letting US choppers come in and take the students out of the war torn country. That request was denied more than once; the Cubans and Soviets felt if they gave up the students they would lose their leverage over the Americans, so we went in and took them out by force. President Reagan wasnt Jimmy Carter, he wasnt gonna just sit by and let US citizens be taken hostage again like they were in Iran just 3 years earlier.
@ajr666 war torn country? The country wasn't war torn... After the killing of the former prime minister Bishop and the implementation of a curfew, there were no fighting... and the US students were never taken hostage, yes they had to abide by the country like everyone else but they were not threatened in any way neither were they guarded or held captive.. it was very different from what occurred in Iran.

@ajr666 Actually, Carter attempted to rescue the hostages and it ended in failure. The negotiations that led to their release was practically complete by the time Reagan took office. While you are correct about Grenada, you are a little off mark with Carter and Iran. Sure, he wasn't a strong president but, it was not as if nothing was attempted.
This movie is a load of crap. The US government could care less about its citizens, but is perfectly willing to use us as an excuse to justify if greedy actions.
In 2005 I was in Grenada as a student, Hurricane Ivan hit, the island was ruined and the students were stranded, sick from cholera, no food, no electricity.
We were the last foreign citizens to leave and it took the USG 1 week to send planes after lots of begging. The UK, Trinidad, Barbados, Canada all evacuated their citizens next day

The US invaded the country because it had the possibility to pose numerous threats. The students were in no more danger than anybody else on the island,it was a nation wide curfew which is why there were not any soldiers stationed at the university until the invasion. The island is approx 100 miles away from US oil pipelines and has numerous relations with Cuba. Grenda is also a british rule colony so the US broke numerous international laws invading the island all under the name of "security".
U are horribly uninformed. U must be very young, otherwise u would remember President Reagan going on National TV multiple times to inform the Grenada Rebels that if they agreed to let US choppers land and evacuate all of the students the US would not invade the island. This request was denied not once, but 3 separate times. 2nd Grenada is NOT ruled by the British. They gained their independence in 1974. Like Australia its considered a Common Wealth Realm which means it is a SOVERIGN country.
@ajr666 lol america had been banging on about those students well before any "war" broke out, it was pure propaganda just like the comments that the airport would be used for military action against US... if you knew anything about grenada you'd know that america had been trying to destabilize the revolution since its inception in 79..uno just like what they are doing now in middle east, US sponsored terror
wake the fuck up or shut up and keep drinking your fluoride like a good little citizen
@nicck What I was trying to point out is calling something lies when you weren't involved in it doesn't make sense. The soldiers on this show were fighting so it is likely they are telling the truth. The fact it was condemned doesn't change anything. Many of the countries who supported it were in the region so they should have more of a say. I've heard the grenadians even have a holiday dedicated the day we invaded.
@Scruffy901 "mission: to secure the safety of american students" bullshit. It was involve themselves in the politics of a country when they had no right. Yes, "in the region". But the whole thing was pathetic. The Runway was practically a gift from the British and Candians...to the US it was some sort of runway of communist doom. Nobody was under threat...the US wanted everyone to believe that was so. Why were the jamaicans there? Becuase it would look as bad, that's why.
@nicck I agree that the student thing might have been more of a pr thing but still someone had to help them. Funny thing is some of these "cuban workers" on the island were cuban special forces. Care to explain that ? Most of the communist regimes today are a threat the U.S. please explain how this would be any different. The Jamaicans were there because they thought it was a threat why else would they risk their soldiers ?
@Scruffy901 Cuban special forces AND advisors. Everyone knew there were Cuban military personnel there...no doubt that they were invited by the communist government. I don't see how commmunist regimes are a threat to the US when A. they do not have the ability to strike the US and B. Do not really have a wish to do so. It was a US lead invasion, I'm pretty sure the Jamaicans were there for security.
