  • *watching video* "oh yeah this is really cute- $400 A MONTH!?!?!?! IT COSTS MORE THAN $700 JUST TO RENT A ROOM IN A HOUSE WHERE I LIVE!!!!"

  • Oh wow, that place is BIGGER than my apartment, and mine costs $1500USD a month. Dx

  • That's cheaper that you would get from Helsinki in Finland. My poor student wallet is crying :3

  • only 4 万?? wow this is cheap !! Tokyo is really expensive... and the apartments there are really expensive and small :( i want one like yours :'(

  • I love your apartment! I'd totally sleep in the loft ≧∇≦

  • One thing I've noticed in the various apartment videos posted is that no one seems to take advantage of their vertical space. Do the Japanese have a problem with shelving or pier systems? Just wondering. JH

  • @jema2609 I think it's because of the quakes.

  • No shower or bath?

  • Some results say that their average monthly income is between 5050 ~ 5500 USD,it suits their lifestyle pretty much although i am sure they don't rest much.... xd

  • I find it absolutely hillarious that its $400 a month there and here (New Orleans LA USA) the average is $800 for about the same amount of space.

  • nice you are very good

  • wow cleaning is lazy day? and wow u still look hot without makeup and is see bras xD

  • Where do you work if you don't mind me asking. I'm planning to go to Japan and stay there for a while but I don't know of any jobs for foreigners.

  • @mangasdemanoid A lot of Americans who go to Japan can usually find work teaching English to Japanese students. But to work in Japan you need a work visa. And to get a work visa you need a college degree. And it would be better to find a Japanese company to hire you before you head to Japan so that you have work right away. Be prepared to support yourself! Do a bit of research, these are all things I've gathered just from browsing. :3

  • @lumpy195 thanks :)

  • @lumpy195 You don't need to get a work visa to work. You need to get a work visa, to stay in japan. Wich companies shall provide to you once you've been hired. You don't necessarily need a College Degree as well. I'm going into Video-Game localization, and the company i've contacted have stated that you don't need one :) I guess it's one of the few rare cases though.

  • @WaterCrystalline Ahh. Well from what I've read on the forums and job listings for those who go to teach english they all said that you needed one. But good for you though. I hope you have a good time. :)

  • shower?

  • who are in us?? U and???

  • where the heck do you shower

  • It's a good size apartment for one or two people

  • I'm totally going to attempt to make that in my sims 3

  • The rent dosent seem that bad and nice place I want to live in Japan when I'm older so thanks for showing what ur place looks like

  • hey love japan is cool and all but is it a tad boring there if you don't know certain people?

  • IS that a Ibanez 7 string ? or a common 6 string ?

  • 400 a month? Nice.. here in California it is about 800 in a torn down neighborhood with one bedroom. If your lucky enough to find one at that price.

  • a place with more room(read 2 bedroom apt with large kitchen and laundryroom plus large livingroom) than this would be $350/month 5 mi north of me. the avg here for a two bedroom is $550 though

  • That loft is cool. If I had that loft I'd make somebody have company over an id make random sounds every so often to freak people out. And then the person who incited them would have to tell them there's ghosts. Oh one day......

  • 400 dollars per month??????????, Is way cheaper than in London????!!!, almost half price... I thought departments in Tokyo were REALLY EXPENSIVE''

  • all the crap on the fridge...lol

    バビスターをcrapって言っちゃあかんでしょww

  • I WANT THAT DANCING PENGUIN....

  • これで不細工とか可愛いじゃん!!

  • You look better without makeup imo. More kawaii desu!

  • 可愛い

  • 四万…安!!

    いい物件だね。

  • wow.. 400 a month for 2 rooms AND a loft area.. thats a nice deal..

  • ロフトがある所良いですね!!!

  • $400 is cheap. I bet Tokyo is a lot more expensive :(

  • @PrincessFran96 america has mainly always been more expensive.

  • $400/mth? That's cheap for what you got!

  • @undergroundalcoholsi america has mainly always been more expensive.

  • 4万・・・一体どこなんだ

  • Is that $400 per person or for two? My aptmnt comparable size in Kobe was $600 10 yrs ago

  • A place like this in London would costs you more than US$1200.

If I had that space, I would be able to plant my tomatoes, nasu and etc... It's stopped growing for lack of space, basically a bonsai.

  • 4万だと・・・。

  • 家賃安~い

  • If this is $400, it's hella cheap... !

  • 1:16 japan care so much about weight that they even make pepsi&coke bottles slim.

  • nice room!

  • Thanks for the Japanese subs...I'm surprising myself by how much I can actually read.

  • That dancing thing was the cutest ever!!!!!!!

  • do you have a shower

  • wow that's cool! but who do you live with? :)

  • $400?!??!! thats such a good deal! compared to the $2000/month 2 bedrooms in vancouver..............though it may be a bit nicer, id way rather live in this convenient little japanese apartment anyday ;))

  • @juicycarr I completely know what you mean, I was just living at a place in Vancouver just a bit larger than Ciaela's apartment for $1300/month.

    @Ciaela Awesome N64, I haven't played 1080 in over 10 years...

  • I notice you say we.

    Who is your roommate?

  • UHH.. what the hell was i gonna ask...... OH YEA. so like literally 400$ a month? that seems great. i mean most 1 bedrooms here would run 550$ at least

  • Is there air conditioning in there? or was it just a good day to open the door

  • 英語 ペラペラですねw さすが!!

  • are you teaching english?

  • OMG, pause at 1:31 i have that toy that is shaking its head except the big one is a sort of beigey whitey colour, not green and there are 2 little white ones on the green grass :) cool apartment too!

  • Even though your place looks cool, it is so messy it scares the crap out of me :p

  • ◕ ヮ ◕ WWW

  • Woah, only $400.00 for rent? That's pretty cheap o.o

  • "This is our living room..." so you mean... more than 1 person lives there? omg, good luck.

  • I like the loft. I would use it as my room.

  • I want a loft! :(

  • Yet another western myth has been disproven. THe longer I live, the more I see what we are led to believe by the media is totally untrue. I would've assumed that apartments in Japan would be more $. IS it because of your location in the south? How much would that apt cost in Tokyo?

Btw, just discovered your channel while looking into the quake and nuke disaster up north. The news is being heavily censored from my observations.

  • super sweet pad!

  • This is EXACTLY how I wanna live! Nice and cozy! :D

  • OMG N64!!!! :DDDDD

  • Dang that thing I'd messy

  • nice and cozy :D best home you can have

  • wait what about a tub or shower area? or do you have to use a public bath house?

  • Omg! I'm loving U're home. And it's really cheap for what it is! =O

    And I admire U for your N64! =D

  • OMG I have the little dancing yellow guy! My friend brought it to me from Japan! Can you tell me what he is, please? I just know he's a cute little solar-powered bobble head. But is he some sort of popular character?

  • Cute! I'd love a loft :)

  • i have that same nintendo! :D

  • 一階は盗難とか空き巣が危ないので注意してくださいね(^-^)

  • cut the grass, how does one do that with such a small patch of land? obviously you don't buy a machine for that.. scissors?

  • @Standard420247 A cow!

  • i love the loft!

  • 素敵なお部屋なのに4万円!

    うらやましいです〜

  • omg... this is a disaster

  • $400 a month? Whether it's american or Canadian that's definitely more than $400 where I live which is really expensive (most good apartments here are over $200)

  • We have only two kind of pepsi's here. Regular and light -_-.

  • Seems western to me the Japanese used to sleep on bedrolls and sit on the floor cross legged there used to be a saying "very Japanese" meaning small/spartan Ciaela's place is down-right materialist not a criticism just an observation.

  • @OHT53 See, you might not have noticed, but I'm actually Western myself. Japan doesn't define who I am, I just happen to live there.

  • @OHT53 "used to"

Maybe you should stay away from hearsay and what the media says, and do some first hand investigating for yourself.

  • OH! It looks like you guys are living in a Leopalace, right? :D

  • @Kingdom6Hearts Oh, god, I hope not....

  • your toilet is more than cool actually, it's really a sustainable/green idea.

saving water for the future generations..!

  • とっても可愛いですね^^

  • No makeup is cute!

  • nice!!!!

  • I wonder if the $400 includes utilities

  • Where do u shower? O_O'' The apartment is cute.. crowded.. and messy, lol. But cute :)

  • Your herpes is back again eh. Did you ever have the problem before coming to Japan?

  • @Ctaak It's a side-effect of teaching English there.

  • do you have a shower?

Also, i love your apartment. I know you're gonna hate this, but : I wanna go to Japan!

So, i'm going to try my hardest in school and try to get an exchange! If not, there are a few Japanese colleges i want to apply for. But i'm 13, so thats a long time away :)

Thank you for your videos, they help me out alot! I'm going to start learning level 2 japanese soon, and your video's help me out alot :)

  • $400?! That's a great place to live, I'm moving to Japan!

  • only $400 a month? do they have rent control or just found a good deal! cool loft!

  • $400 sounds cheap! is that american dollars??or canadian dollars?

  • yaay! Finally we get to see your apartment! That was cool, thanks for the tour! And I'm sorry about Ryuhei getting mad at you because you didn't know it was a private thing haha .. I wouldn't know either!

  • $400/month?? omg i live in nyc and that sounds like heaven lolz Japan is where its at

  • @l2ub2 Well i think it's Canadian dollars since her profile says Canada, but you're still right- thats a pretty good price! I got an apartment for 480$ that was slightly smaller, but utilities where free.

  • I like how it's not 'blog,' but more like 'blaag.'

  • EEeeeeeee! I want to learn to speak japanese and move there! It looks so awesome Q_Q

OR if i can't catch any japanese classes here in finland, imma move there where you live and compose music using your quitars and amps and speak english and do anything you want! =D

  • @Misthema there's a lot of japanese classes here in fiinlad so you'll fin one :)

  • Hi!I love your vids. Keep uploading them. byeeee

    PS、Tour is ツアー、Not ツーアー

  • Man that's awesome. Do you have a bath or do you use community ones? I get a bedroom - not even an entire apartment, just a bedroom - for $800 USD a month in Los Angeles :( Is everywhere in Fukuoka with this size of place around that price? I spent my entire time living in a hostel in Hakata, but I like the look of this place. The loft is indeed, pretty great.

  • still think you look like a youngin XD

  • Once again, so simple yet so useful. Really good to show my HS students how the average person (be they Japanese or foreign) might live. Reminds me of my aparto in Chiba-ken some 20 years ago when I was the young kid in Japan--I has a loft, too!...thanks Ciaela and think about other vlogs that might work well for HS kids trying to learn more about Japan beyond Samurai and Geisha.

  • 広いし安いと思ってるのは俺だけかな?

    ロフトサイコー!!
