  • Lots a tater masher grenade action. Looked a bit like tryouts for the holocaust Olympics.

  • this is a cheesy movie.

  • The look on the Nazis' faces at 3:55..haha!!!!! hell yeah! priceless! OWNED!!!

  • The place is littered with landmines. They should have instead focused on arming every prisoner and destroying the ovens, then trying to escape.

  • splendid!!!

  • Alan Arkin protrayed a real hero by the name of Leon, who was murdered by antisemite Poles a year or so after the War ended. Leon was the real leader at Sobibor who rebelled against the German Nazi Murderers at Sobibor.

  • There's a movie called Escape From Sobibor on YouTube with Alan Arkin.

  • This movie is based on real events-this scene contains some of the details in the true story-escape from Sobibor. You can view it here on You Tube in its entirety.Shalom!

  • the timescales are all wrong,

  • @flute4hire the timeline for the events are off somewhat, notice how they stopped showing what year it was supposed to be much earlier in the series? i think its a minor flaw considering that they did well to show many of the more well known events that happened throughout the holocaust...they sacrificed certain things obviously to make the story fit together.

  • Omg @ 2:40 I was wondering how I missed Rudy losing half an arm... took a second to realize his arm was in the boot lol

  • @lara16beth haha me too :D

  • Should have joined the Russians would have taken him to the heart of Berlin ... But still nothing in Berlin for him he only has a brother now..... And hes at Auschwitz..

  • Every single person who took part in the Sobibor uprising deserves a medal!

  • The series has very odd timing and is out of sequence. The escape from Sobibor was in October 1943, BUT the scene where Carl's friend is saying "the Americans are racing across France and the Russians are in Budapest" makes no sense - that did not happen until fall 1944.

  • @russelldrew

    movies tend to do that

  • Briiliant film

  • Funny Fact:

Little did they now, all those Russian troops were probably executed by the NKVD for being traitors. Most Russian POW's were when they were repatriated. Even Stalin disowned his own son for getting captured.

  • @IamDayoldHate No, they were mostly not executed, there were many other forms of reprisals such as military penal units and forced labor brigades not to mention prisons and prison camps. The leader of Sobibor uprising, Pechersky, got into a penal unit and later a prison.

  • Dorf is a shithead. He should have died in a crib fire.,

  • Weinberg is a good man

  • This showed the uprising from sobibor. didn't seem accurate. the movie Sobibor is more accurate and it's available on you tube. higly recommanded.

  • @desiguy3

YES, it is much more detailed. WOW, that was a great movie. There is also a more detailed film on the WARSAW uprising., but I don't recall the title.

  • @haitipi "Uprising"? Shit film.

  • @desiguy3 yeah the one with rutger hauer however his name's spelt lol yeah i seen it, it's really good, how clever the escape plan was and the assassination of SS men in the process, moving as well for each individual character

  • this part follows closely with the movie escape from sobibor.

  • Weinberg is such a good chracter and so kind.

  • whats the name of the man who takes the painting after Karl dies?

  • In the film it´s name is Weinberg and the actor´s name is Cyril Shepar

  • @pirateking193 Hello????? that was Weinberg.

  • I love the scene in Sobibor that was awesome! Anyone seen the movie escape from Sobibor? That is a cool movie.

  • @RMSTitanic87 I agree with you. I would encourage everyone who liked the uprising scene to see it. It can be watched on youtube.

  • what if they started fighting back in the beginning.....who knows

  • Those reactio shots of the card-playing Germans - pure cardboard!

  • These sketches reminds me on work of Croatian painter and sculptor Vanja Radauš 1906-1975. His works were very expressive, always with some grim creatures. He was also member of Yugoslavian partisan resistance in Croatia during the WWII.

  • that was awesome !

  • Such Good People In The World

    Well Done To Them :D

  • @KatieDerry This comment emphasises everything that is wrong with 'Holocaust'.

  • me too holy they're good :D

  • Yes, I am so amazed at their strength.

  • Such courageous freedom fighters. They better be
