I respectfully disagree. As someone who fondly remembers the 70's I liked it. The songs were well placed and it just made me smile, until Kong plummeted from the top of the WTC with the guy who was trying to interview him. ;)
I loved these when I was a kid, but as an adult its not nearly as funny as I remember. The music clips were cool, but Dickie Goodmans acting was atrocious.
In 1976 I was 9 yrs old and My brother bought me the 45 to play on my record player. It's always been a fav of mine. There was sometime about growing up in the 70s that I have always loved. Everything was so simple and fun.
This was 30 or more years before the World trade center tragedy, but somehow listening now. it sorta made me sad, at the time This played on the radio it had a less intense feel to it... just saying
Yeah there was no need for a remake of King Kong either. This one OR the Peter Jackson one. BTW, who has the Watergate song? That was actually pretty funny. Or maybe it was just Nixon that was funny?
i think u people got some balls this man worked hard on this and i give him props u people should appreciate this video because if every video in the world was deleted except this 1 u people would think this was the funniest thing since pickled pigs feet. meenies! dont say mean stuff like that thats just hurtful and u could really make someone upset if they read these kind of comments on a video he worked on for a long time really hard! :'(
I didn't think these goodman bits were funny when I was 9 years old. Thinking back I always thought it was because I was too young to get the humor. I'm glad to see that I didn't miss a thing. They really just sucked.
Too bad he didn't live to interview a 747 from the roof of the Trade Center. So glad this dud stopped making 45's and finally put one in his talentless head.

admittedly it's a bit silly but back in the day, many people appreciated this kind of novelty recording and Goodman was the leader of the band
