  • Thanks so much in december of 2010 our 2007 suburban got rear ended and when i went to hook up the aux 12 volt for our trailers battery and got no voltage i thought the repair place did some thing wrong but nope this is how you do it, now we got to order a battery and controller from ur site and we're set

  • Great video, did this today and took me less than an hour to do altogether. It's pretty straightforward once you get everything together. Thanks again!

  • great video and helpfull. i did mine on my 07.5 2500hd duramax and its the same i did take notice that the fuses 40 and 30amp are already installed on the HD's thanks

  • @AREA80hEight I'm glad this video helped you out! If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

  • the wire is there on the side its electrical taped to the harness you cant see if if you feel for it youll find it and just have to untape it .... it took me awhile to figure that out

  • what size are those two nuts

  • @MrMikerossmanjr Those are M6 and M8.

  • Nice video....everything looks good on my 2009 chevy LT c1500 except the red wire to the right of the fuse box under the hood next to the driver side fender does not exist....where is the wire and where do I find it....My controller will not work with out it. PLEASE HELP

  • @tiffnalbe The power wire is definitely there, somewhere. You will probably have to just dig around the box until you locate it!

  • @tiffnalbe Same problem I have on 2008 silverado. How did you find it? I've looked inside nearby wire bundles (encased by corrugated plastic) with no luck. Took it to chevy, and tech. that knows this stuff was not there--they could not find it. Someone suggested pulling the inside of fuse box up (using the gray handles) and that it might be under fuse box. I've removed the 3 fuse box bolts, but can't lift box far enough to see beneath it.

    Help!

  • @tomdailet If you are looking under the hood for the red wire to power the brake controller in the cab, it should be between the driver side fender and the power distribution box. If it is not there, you will have to hardwire it yourself, in order to power the brake controller. Let me know if you have any other questions.
