  • @TheFootballgirly I'm 18, and I have listened to almost nothing but 70's and 80's since as as long as I can remember.

  • @TheFootballgirly heyy im 14, and im in love with this kinda music, and so are alot of my friends. so think again.

  • @TheFootballgirly

I'm pretty sure you can hear it on your local 'classic' rock channel.

  • @TheFootballgirly bitch im 20 and I love oldies. lol. not really calling you a bitch. but yeah. Dont include me with my generation. =)

  • @TheFootballgirly Well one thing in kid's favor today is almost all the current artists of today are almost as big fucking pricks as Billy Squier was in his day.

  • 1:03 For the baseline

  • @quesi600 wow so freakin true!!!!! I wish my kids could of grown up with this music....!!!!!

  • @999marydoll I DO THE SAME THING, ALL THE TIME..HAVE MANY SPEED TICKETS TO PROVE IT...LMAO!!

  • MY FAVORITE TUNE OFF THIS ALBUM -----RED

  • @quesi600 WORD

  • i cant get this fucking song out of my head

  • @quesi600 Soccer mom with a minivan...lol I was 12 in 1984.. any by the time I was 18, starting my family, I had my Billy Squire on Vinyl, and a Chevy Blazer.. Got my now 20 year old into this early...on. In fact.. she stole my vinyl years ago.. I miss my BILLY!

  • i use to go with this guy that was a mute.he use to listen to Billy Squier everyday.

  • @quesi600 , I saw him in the Astrodome with The Who (Their farewell tour :( ) in 82 I think. I'm 43 too and I feel sorry for my two sons, in their 20's. Even they know that music isn't what it used to be. They mostly listen to our old stuff. It's a shame that capitalism has destroyed music. Billy Squier was/is underrated in my opinion.

  • Billy kinda looks like Paul Rudd in this video. Put long hair on Rudd and tell me he don't!!! Lol. Billy Squier fucking rules.

  • @havok140 yeah he kinda does :) But Billy got a bigger..um..microphone LOL

  • 27 people are not my kind of lover

  • 27 people need to have the shit kicked outta them. You don't like Billy Squire, you don't like music ! Go listen to that Lady GOO GOO shit then. bitches............

  • 42 now remember when MTV actually played music! No f'ing cell phones, texting etc. We would all meet at certain points when we where out cruising [gas was.75 a gallon] If you missed the pick up point you were SOL. When we left the house we were FREE no phones or parents checking up. Lots of fun, freedom & F-ing [and booze!] Could'nt wait to grow up, was I stupid? Being grown up & responsible is overrated. It was a good run!

  • So many of you major fans, are doing one thing wrong- spelling his name wrong! Its SQUIER not SQUIRE! Lol, thats has been a pet peeve of mine ever since I was in the Billy Squier Fan club in the early 80's ...& his package I remember staring at too! video, but the mid 80"s hair bands were ok, but not much talent, but the only thing put there at the time! Def Leppard, now thats talent.90's alternative grunge & 90's music rocked....2000 & up has sucked, moslty audio mixed frigin Chris Brown shit!

  • OK, aside from staring at his "package".....

    R.I.P. Bobby

  • @quesi600 funny we had our first 80's day at my school everything was eighties and it was awesome i love 80's 70' and 90's music way better than music now

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of Dawn!

  • @quesi600 - AMEN!!!!

  • this song still kicks ass.

  • @quesi600; I'm 15, I'm in love with the 80's my world revolves around 80's music. If I could, I would go more than one day in the 80's♥

  • Heard this in a surf film, don't remember which one, but it was PERFECT.

Being a surfer this is my song to the ocean. Can you picture it ? AAAAWWWWOOOOOO!!!!

  • I love Billy Squire! That's when men wore pants that fit! lol Back then you didn't question what you were getting. lol not to mention Rock was good! Concerts were outstanding! and the fun never ended.....

  • @mistressigraine1 i hear ya!!!

  • Oh I remember my parachutte pants and british flag shirt!!! listening to Def Leppard and Billy Squire, those were the days!!!

  • My husband hates this song! He is truly an 80's child ('74), I was born in '81 and love this song. So everytime it comes up on my MP3, I sing it for him, "my kinda lovereeerrreerrrr!!!!!!" I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SethraLavode99 your husband needs to hear this song RIGHT NOW.

  • bobby chouinard

  • I really don't think it gets any sexier than this

  • @quesi600 well the 60s were just as good! but i guess you weren't there. i always thought of the 80s as a modern 60s, same great music, just a different day! :) don henley "boys of summer" sent me. where have you been?

  • way too much bass in this vid =\

  • Don't get me wrong, tho. There are perks of growing up in the age I'm in now, too. Still tho, can't help but wonder

  • I'm not from the 80s but I do agree that some of the best music of all time came from the '80s(and '70s. Some good stuff in the '60s as well). The music of the '90s had a very scarce population of good songs(from all the 90s songs I've heard). Maybe there was a lot of good stuff from the 90s that I just missed, I don't know. I was only around for the last half of it and even then I remember nothing of it. Sometimes, when listening to 80s music, I wonder what it'd be like if I lived in the 80s

  • @traeus you were only around for the last half and you don't remember it?? wow, i'd like to know what drugs you were on!! ok, just kidding i know, you were just born. i actually think i was listening to 80s music in the 90s. not sure, but i listened to mostly depeche mode, korgies, oh i know, i was listening to all the electronica stuff. chemical bros., BT, banco di guhia, prodagy, etc.

  • @m1kewithaone My fave, now and forever, is Ozzy

  • @traeus oh, ozzy, the MASTER! i like it all, but i like "planet caravan" off black sabboth's 2nd album. i just got the lyrics to that song just last week! and i havent heard "shot in the dark" in a long time, thanks for reminding me! you will like robyn trower, and sweet. oh and rush of course.

  • @m1kewithaone I like sweet and some Rush stuff but never heard of Robyn Trower

  • I'm only 19 years old, but I try my best to keep the 80's alive, cranking this album in my '89 Camaro every day.

  • If I could only go back.

  • @quesi600 I agree so much with this comment.. I am a couple years older, I am 45, but I also wish my kids could have enjoyed the 80's, they were all born in the 80's but do not enjoy the era the way I do..

  • I agree with most of everything that everyone has posted. I am a musician and work in the 'biz" still after 30 odd years!! Billy was an amazing artist. It was ahuge bummer when he stopped putting out "records".. My son (2-) and all his buddy's always tell me that "our" generation ruined it for them in the sense of having fun. And when you think of what ALL of us got away with back then?? LMAO! We'd still be in jail by todays standards! Crank it up to 11 and ROCK THE HELL OUT!! Peace everyone...

  • @quesi600 damn it sucks to have responsibilites

  • this.. is a fuckin GREAT song.. X)

  • I am the great fan of 60s,70s and 80s .. the songs from those periods are amazing..they are evergreen !!! I still listen to only those songs and this is one of the best !! Thanks.

  • So great..a showman..great song...

  • I love this song! Makes me feel like a little kid again. Lol My husband is younger than me and he is a musician. He was like "Who is Billy Squier?" LMAO

  • I was born in 1985. However I don't listen to much that was made after 1986, I am very much a 70's and 80's child, even though I didn't really grow up in it. Its not when you were born that defines what kind of kid you were but what you were born into.

  • i went to go play this on guitar at school and mt teacher was ike " BIY SQUIER?" nd im like "yeah..." pathetic!

  • Most of the great 80s music was being played when I was in the USMC. Awesome times!

  • Love this! I graduated in 83 and I really feel sorry for these kids today - not really knowing what rock n roll is. I uses to crank Billy Squier at my friends house and one day his mom walks in and says "so you like Billy?" "Funny" she said i used to date him. I said bummer, you could have gotten us some good tickets. Billy was an icon of the 80's music. Thanks for the vid!!

  • Billy ROCKED back in the 80's. Seen him in 82 when i was 9 he opened for Queen, was my birthday gift from my parents. The show was August 5th birthday was the 6th so was technically 10 was a great show

  • uhhh...what i would give to be a child of the eighties!

  • I would love to see this man live. Happy Birthday Billy.

  • Billy Squier. Quintesential, iconic.

  • @quesi600 Agree with everything you said here. It was magical.

  • The 70's and 80's had the BEST music....so glad I lived that time. The rock music today...although some is good...alot of it really sucks!

  • I fell in love with this song immediately after hearing the first 30 sec :) gotta love the 80's!

  • my first real R&R concert i was 13 at the garden........won't forget..great music!

  • ...You're my situation

    yeeaahh

  • ...You're my situation

    yeeaahh

  • @quesi600 I know the 80s had ALOT of talent and also the shameful artists that always plague the eras...and yeah i agree with nowadays rock music not being nowhere near good as classics....but there are alot of modern bands that are exceptions...

  • Yeah, aside from the occasional hit from groups like Arcade Fire, most of today's music is terrible.

  • I do so like the rockers, who rock the curly hair. Billy Squier <3 and Marc Bolan of T-rex

  • SOOOO many drunken nights to this song!!!

  • Fun early 80's guy. His music used to fill the dance floor.

  • Billy fucking SQUIER

  • I know! It's almost as if no one has a heart, or mind these days. Music today lacks emotion...You ever notice, that most stuff now, like rock & such, is all about the negative..No one sings about the good anymore, I stick the classics such as this fly fella here, especially when I need an upper. Life is depressing enough, don't want my music to bring me down too.

  • @codabug03 amen brother

  • Ugh! I love this song! It's been my obsession for the last 6 months. Makes me feel all good & stuff. This guy is amazing. I think he should have gotten a lil more attention than he was given, his music was awesome, and still is. Keeps me moving :)

  • Billy kept rock and roll going through the 80s, good man

  • damn, i love this guy and his music. hes one of the many who inspired me to sing!!!

  • What ever happened to him? 27 People who have no idea what so ever what real music is!

  • @Freyia1133 no accent here (Deep South) as far as i can tell, it's just the northerner's who can't talk talk right...=)

  • ive been listenin to this song since i was 2 years old it rocks

  • Without a doubt, Squire's absolute best.

  • What's HIS SIGN !

  • reminds me so much of Zep but with more music around

  • That bassist is the most awesome bassist ever!

  • Billy was born in Wellesley. Massachussetts, near Boston. That Bostonian accent can sometimes sound a little foreign, much like our Texas accents! One of his biggest influences was Eric Clapton

  • @amysgammy want to hear a accent that's foreign sounding?

Go To the deep south sometime... you'd think you're in england The only accent/drawl that sounds a little foreign to me would be from Virginia

  • Being a teenager in the 80's totally rocked!!!

  • IS it me,or has anyone else noticed that Billy Squier sounds like he's a english hard rock singer( a robert plant influence maybe?) ?

  • @Freyja1133 I agree.

  • @Freyja1133 at some points in the song he reminds me of phil collins with his voice so yea

  • LOL

  • I long for the days when the music was real

  • I didn't really know who he was back in '82 but my teacher use to put on rock shows every year and he wanted me to do this and I fought him every step of the way but then the more I listen to the music the more I got into. So Ty Mr.Brown for teachin me to really listen to the music cause now I enjoy so many different types of music,

  • I liked his music but never saw him on stage before. Like his singing chops, but hate his stage routine. Looks like he went to Mick Jagger school of Lead Singing.

  • @abergethirty No,I'd be more inclined to say that went to the Robert Plant School of Lead Vocals

And the Paul Rodgers school of Rock Persona

  • i love this song! Kick ass!!!

  • I remember being in the 10th grade when this hit the radio. He was unique and cool. His songs would be played at the clubs and the roller rinks.

  • The thing I would do to him...

  • When music was fucking music!...This song is awesome! The opening riff is badass, but yet so damn catchy!

  • @AuschwitzKidd Every girl wanted him, and every guy(well, me anyways) wanted to be him. I remember this tune playing on the radio driving down the road in my '70 Pontiac Bonneville. Music back then was great. It all meant something to us. The music nowadays, can't touch this.

  • @karm009 That's so gnarly! I wish, that when I get old, I'll have memories like that...but, sadly, I won't...99.9 % of the bands I listen to are now either too old or too washed out to perform. It's a shame. Auto-tune is the biggest rip off that's ever come to the music industry.

  • LMAO .... WOW i feel old .

    still the ball Billy!

  • The man is sexy!

  • my kind of song.

  • i love you BILLY i remember going to my 1st concert and you where it!!! i was ur youngest fan and you stopped to hand me a pick i got a pick from the bass player also my sis got a drum stick to and we got to meet u;)

  • too all of those of you to graduated in the early 80's,,,WASN'T THE SUMMER OF 1981 KICK ASS,,,OR WHAT!!!

The Class Of 1986 said so!!!!!!!!!!!

  • His voice is sexier to me than a banana split is to a fat chick!! Damn!!

  • Ah I love Billy Squire lol he's awesome.. wish my generation could produce good music like this.. :( lol least I still got Billy lol

  • man i wish i was a teenage r in the 80s instead of being a teen today when most of the current music sucks like hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kimdefleppardfan yep we had great music but you should see him today he got old

  • @kimdefleppardfan being a teenager in the 80's was the greatest!

  • @kimberlykaym yea thats y i wish k wish i was about 25 yrs older

  • @kimberlykaym

    YES IT WAS!!!

  • @kimdefleppardfan The only problem with that is, you would be in your 40s now. Mortgage, minivan and a Teen of your own. Enjoy being young, even if your music sucks.
