Both players are great players. Case and point: Kane and Gagner and 1, 2 respectivley in scoring from their draft year.

There is no argument when who is better; Kane certainly is better than Gagner (I'm and Oilers fan) shown by the point spread between the two...however Gagner was the first to use those filthy moves in shootouts before Kane.. I dont know where people are getting that Kane started it. I think Kane even openly admitted.. Doesnt matter..Both will be great[er] players to come...

Obviously Kane has the better numbers, and that's why he was drafted ahead of Gagner, but it can be argued that 1) Kane has much better linemates to work with (Toews and him are going to be dynamic together), and 2) Kane is a year older than Gagner. I know it's only one year, but one year is a huge difference at the age these guys are at.
