Went out and got it soon after it came out by Paul Williams. This is a great song by a great artist. Wikipedia credits him with a lot. We've Only Just Begun(1970) and this one is listed as 1977 but sure seems like it should hae been 1967. At least earlier. Thanks for posting it.
What year is this from? In the early 1970, probably late 1971 or early 1972, I heard a version of this song by Paul Williams on the radio a few times. Williams was better known as a songwriter (mainly or only a lyricist) than as a singer, and this was probably the only song I ever heard by him. I'm guessing that he wrote this song, or at least the lyrics to it.
