But the average tax payer doesn't have a master's degree, and live in an area with a cost of living as high as Washington DC. @starview1 You should move to the DC area. I've lived here for over 30 years. Civil Service is the lowest paid work force in this area. Even home renovation and many bartenders and waiters make more than civil servants. They get paid as much as they do because it costs a shit load to live here.
My town house cost me $416,000 in 2002. It now sells for $735,000. Median income is >80,000 a year single income. Get off the populist bandwagon.

@starview1 You should move to the DC area. I've lived here for over 30 years. Civil Service is the lowest paid work force in this area. Even home renovation and many bartenders and waiters make more than civil servants. They get paid as much as they do because it costs a shit load to live here.
My town house cost me $416,000 in 2002. It now sells for $735,000. Median income is >80,000 a year single income. Get off the populist bandwagon.

@starview1 I earn about 20% more than the average civil servant. But that puts me at the low end of the income in the DC area. If I were a civil servant, I don't know how I would be able to pay my bills and own a car, let alone own a home.
I bet where you live, it's not that hard to buy a house, because you can probably get a nice 3 bedroom with a 1/2 acre for less than $200,000. $200,000 in this area might buy a 1 br condo, if you live an hour from DC. $500k min to get a family home here

@RazerForce I don't buy into the Alex Jones hysteria. This is really just human nature and a natural progression of those who have power.
It's not so much an evil plot as it is just an unchecked force that seeks to grow and consume like anything else.
Govts and Corps are like people, they need to grow to survive. If unchecked, they'll consume all liberty and wealth. Just like obese people. Governments unchecked will become obese with power. Corporations will become obese with money.

The most important thing we need to focus on is the REPUBLICAN supreme court selling America out to the highest bidder. Now OSAMA BINLADIN himself can donate to any politician and no one will ever know where it came from, and as afraid as republicans are of OSAMA I do not think they want to make him angry, but they will still probably take the money. Look up the supreme court ruling that gives corporations the same right as an individual. PEACE AND FREEDOM FOR ALL.

@michealati2 you are entirely correct. palin just played her role. this is all on mccain. it was a stunt, just like the "suspension" of his campaign. the irony was mccain who complained that obama was a "celebrity" decided to choose exactly that for a running mate. mccain ran as a principled maverick in 2004 and then just flat-out lost his mind.

Americans like to talk about their founding fathers and the noble struggle to build a country of equality for all. It still is a noble goal. But after all those years the question is are we there yet. the answer is definitely no. I am yet to see any political organization that accurately reflects the the needs of the people. I do not think that any one party can. But I do not think the current system does. i t was meant to according to the laws, but the system is corrupt all round reinstall time

@PhilLesh69 thing is those in power and I mean the powers behind the throne are simply greedy. they could have more than they could use in several lifetimes and it woulddnt be enough. its not that being rich is bad no of course not. Its what you do with the resources you have, and if you stop others from acquiring weath also.
The whole two party system is a private show for us to give us an illusion of choice, its a two horse race and the elitists own both horses.

I'm glad that you recognize that it isn't the people in office, as much as it is the people who put them there and can take them out when they want to.
Our modern day is nothing but a story told to us by a media that is owned by the very corporations our government should have oversight and regulations on. Viacom, Comcast, GE, Universal, Warner? They all own the media, and they report the gov's agenda.

@RazerForce Have you ever noticed that all the news organizations always report the same 7 news stories each day? There are thousands of events each day, but they all report the same 7 stories.
I know, from working for several news organizations, that they have an editorial board that decides what to report. But I am not so sure that they are all independent. I suspect that the board members are on several boards, independently, and that all media has at least one common board member.

Sodium flouride helps a lot with that and its in the drinking water why ? cos the media says its ok and you have beleive the media right. @RazerForce I'm well aware of the population control agenda. That's why I'm trying to get people to stop buying into EITHER party. It isn't one party or the other. They have both been slowly implementing the same agenda since the 1960's. To believe that one party is bad and the other good is just to buy into their strategy of divide and conquer.
The tea party had a chance, but they got sucked right back into one of the party's agendas. People are too easily swayed by emotion and rhetoric

But yeah, fluoridation was the first thing the Germans did to the water supply of Poland after they invaded.
I'm sure it was just because they were concerned about cavities in Poland. Maybe that's why they invaded Poland, because they were afraid they'd all get cavities.

The fox news viewers don't even know who they are supporting. He's half-owner of Fox, and he is also the main funder for their hated "ground zero mosque".
