I didn't really understand the commercial, but that's probably because I don't live in France, and don't understand exactly what the parody is. If I were pretending to be a news commentator, as they are, I would look it up and see what the parody is (as I did). And sure enough, it turns out that it is a parody of perfume adds in France, which, had I known that, would have made it funny and not news at all.
The ad might not make sense. First i thought it would be something about exotic beauty, maybe perfume when you see the ad further, at the end we all get that the ad was about soda. Så the ad might not make sense, but there are many ads that doesnt make sense. but i see that in this ad its attraction and beauty, and the people who made it might even think that many people expected something else, and thatswhy she said at the end "what did you expect" for me it was funny, and good.
It's pretty obvious to me that they were setting this ad up alomost like a movie commercial to get you interested in trying to figure out what the "plot" was and to see what was going to happen, then threw in the beer. That's why she said "what did you expect?"
U know why it was a successful commercial. Because - no matter how silly it was- they made you speak of it, mention their products 3 times in the show & show the commercial in your channel to all your subscribers. Now more people know about Shweeps or whatever they were selling!!! Right???

Hollywood films are all about plot because the aim is to be realistic so the viewers think and feel things vicariously. French cinema and also advertisements don't have to be realistic because they use other techniques to create feelings in the audience, such as the atmospheric juxtaposition in this ad. Cenk probably isn't used to approaching things in that way.

Scweppes ads are fairly random. How much plot do you expect in 30 seconds? In much of Europe, just because someone touches your face it´s not necessarily sexual. The little girl was a handmaiden. Twist at the end. Except it would been better if the delivery was like this: what did YOU expect?
I'm a BA in Psychology and Marketing; The synopsis is it's a parody of the artsy fartsy ads of the 90's where she's in an exotic land and meets the sexy lover, but the soda is so good all that sucks and she only wants the soda. On paper it might get past my desk but all put together it doesn't read well, it just sucks.

It was about the little girl thinking of Nicole Kidman as a goddess(her vision of a goddess) , and by traveling with her it shows relation between man and god that exists in hinduism. And being a goddess nicole must be an object of desire to men(here the Indian actor arjun rampal). It is mainly an imagination showing a girl with the goddess she dreams and hears of in her religion.

I'm a BA in Psychology and Marketing; The synopsis is it's a parody of the artsy fartsy ads of the 90's where she's in an exotic land and meets the sexy lover, but the soda is so good all that sucks and she only wants the soda. On paper it might get past my desk but all put together it doesn't read well, it just sucks.

The commercial is quite good and for whoever made this video, the advertaisment makes an allusion to the chanel ad. You shouldn't laugh at the indian's accent while they speak english seeing that most of the english words derive from Sanskrit. And asians tend to be more intelligent
And BTW Arjun Rampal, the man is quite famous in India, so you people should probably research before... whatever this was, I just laughed at your lack of tolerence and of you guys, you people ARE RIDICULOUS.

And being a goddess nicole must be an object of desire to men(here the Indian actor arjun rampal). It is mainly an imagination showing a girl with the goddess she dreams and hears of in her religion.
