  • damn that thing screams!!!!!

  • its not the end of the world if u hit the rev limiter, its okay thats why its there

  • @stopzilla911

    You're correct.....

But this is my daily driver, and only vehicle(aside form my motorcycle)

The limiter is there for the "rare" situations in which the RPM's may reach catastrophic results... It's not there to ping on and "have fun" with....

  • @stopzilla911

Also if you had read any of the comments, you would have understood that TRD had a bug in TQ management.... in which is why I couldn't ping on the limiter.... The new flash let's me do just that with all my might.... although the truck is MUCH slower with the new flash....

  • @stopzilla911

It's also a butt-ton of wear on internals to jump between high/low revs(with load), on a forced induced engine....

  • HOLY SHIT! I FOUND MY TRUCK!

  • This SOB HAULS ASS DAMMIT

  • Damn bro! How the hell r u peeling it out at 60-65mph! lol. Nice bro. I have A 4 dr Limited on 26's ima post some dumb shit soon lol.. Im having the supercharger installed in a few months too. A birthday gift given to myself lmao!.. Great video man!

  • sounds slow

  • what does TRD stand for? two rear drive lol i have no clue

  • @CaesarDesigns

    Toyota Racing Development

  • @CaesarDesigns lol look on the side

  • when it's in 2wd mode it is FWD? WHAAAAA?

  • it would be nice to see 4wd launches.

  • @ThePwig

It's not near as fast in FWD.... I think that TRD tunes back the engine, when it sees it's in FWD...

  • @DawgBone hmm. I really hope you mean RWD. But either way, I have heard the 4wd launches are really awesome. It's at least worth showing.

  • @ThePwig

    Nah.. I meant FWD....

Mine is pretty lame, and it feels waaayyy slower.... <--it doesn't bust any tires loose either, which is why I suspect that they are de-tuning the engine when in FWD<--to save the tranny/transfer case...

  • @ThePwig

I suppose using the right acronyms help....4WD and not FWD

  • @DawgBone gotcha. you had me going there for a minute.

  • That's beast ..!

  • Nice truck bud.. You may wanna calibrate that speedo. No WAY it goes 65 in first gear. Almost every other supercharged tundra on youtube Hits about 45 to 50 before it shifts. Good trick though

  • @minow146969

Thanks... but there's no tricks.... the speedo has been calibrated, for the TRD wheels....

I have GPS that backs it up... Grab any vehicle, in grass....leave it in 1st and beat on the limiter... I bet you will see more than 60 in 1st....

Actually, this speedo seems to be the most accurate out of all my vehicles...

  • Nice tundra Bro

  • @spainobain1234

    Thanks!!!

  • Badass.....

  • Id swap that into my 4runner, OR the 2jzgte Which is way faster! hahahha tundras still cant beat the supra!

  • Do you have the 4.7L or the 5.7L?

  • @pirochip

    5.7

As far as I know, they don't offer the supercharger for the 4.7

  • OMG !! That truck is a beast !! I wonder how much did it cost to upgrade it and Also did u do any upgrade to tha transmission ?? I also wonder how many less miles per gallonu r getting . Excellent video tough !!

  • What's ur year of truck n is it a Tacoma?

  • @midnite141

    It's an '08 Tundra Limited 4x4

  • is it worth the money

  • @droccs12345 I'd say it is....

This truck is my daily driver... and it pulls/hauls toys(boat) on weekends

  • thats beast. if you want a truck that last and with power tundra all the way

  • hey I have 2009 Sequoiam Platinum, can I fix a TRD Supercharger?

  • @Manishrpk

Yes.... as as long as you don't have a Flex-Fuel model 5.7

Here are the part numbers for the Sequoia.. One is the main uni, and the other is the fit kit...

    pTr29-34070

    pTr29-0c080

  • the car is crazy , just like a viper on take off!!

  • This is Charlie....ready for Take Off!!!

  • that;s how my truck is..... in the rain lol that's ridiculous

  • "Sorry officer, the pedal got stuck"

  • hahahaha still spinning in 3rd gear.... those trucks are monsterous...

  • You need some weight in the back!

  • aaaaah i love the tundra. I got the 2010 with the 5.7

fuckin love distroying little rice burners.

  • how did you get your gauges to glow white

  • @snapperfive0

    It came like that.

They're the "optitron" gauges, that come with the Limited Package.

  • 4wd

  • def need to keep it hammered and let it bounce the rev limiter, you will go faster

  • @ittstudent1989

At the time of this video, TRD had a small bug in their tune that wouldn't allow you to ping the limiter in cold weather.. It would just fall on it's face and lose power, it would then upshift, then downshift back to it's previous gear...

Anyways... they've since fixed it... I have another video called "New TRD Flash" that demonstrates that they did in fact fix the issue...

  • parece eu de trator

  • Damn that thing has a lot of juice! After the truck I have now is payed off...I'm switching from Dodge. Seems like after 65k miles they fall on their face. I'm going with a Tundra next time.

  • Jesus just put it in 4x4. No sense in burning off 2k miles of tread for no reason

  • Sounds like a Land Rover

  • Careful in that cold weather...the rods may try to make an escape from the block

  • HOW DO YOU TAKE OFF TRACTION CONTROL

  • @shadowfalls7

I think I mentioned it earlier....

But you hold the button for 3 seconds...let off... then hold it again for another 3 seconds...

I just uploaded a vid on how to obtain fun :) .... check it out....

  • @shadowfalls7 It's in your manual!

  • awsome!!! i wanna ride in one so bad with a super charger

  • whats the difference in mileage if you don't get on it?

  • @MultiIronman18

I personally couldn't tell you, cause I had it installed new, prior to taking delivery (108 miles on ODO)

Others on the net say they get better mileage....

Fuel eco really shines on interstate driving....

Light footed driving is very hard to do though :)

  • @DawgBone does it always whine like that?

  • @shredderman4

Yup... it's just part of a supercharger....

The more you get on it(more "boost") the louder it'll whine...

This is a very mild whine compared to allot of the aftermarket SC's you see on say, GM motors.... I have a buddy with a SC'd GTO, with a MagnCharger, and it's retardedly loud....no mistaken the SC on his car... Even Ford Lightnings are fairly loud...

It's not annoying at all, when you're just driving "normally"....

  • wish u had traction control

  • @acoroian

It does... and it sucks... and why I had it turned off...

IMO...Traction Control is pretty gay, and meant for idiots that have no idea of what they are doing behind the wheel...

I can understand a "D-Box" or a 2 step for drag racing... But I own a "truck" and it's not purpose is not be on a drag strip... It's main purpose is to haul/tow stuff... The SC was for my own entertainment.... Coming from a M3 and Chevy SS Silvy...

  • @DawgBone Traction control is gay? The procedure to turn it off might be gay but try driving a Tundra in the snow without it and then tell it's gay.

  • @mikye7373

Yeah...not much snow in my neck of the woods.... Besides, traction control can't do anything that I can't do for myself... In fact, TC has nearly got me into trouble when pulling out in traffic... I hit a rock and TC takes all power away and then it's slow to come back.

You're probably thinking about the ALSD system. In which as long as it works in the front on 4x4 models, I could see would be handy in the snow...

  • @DawgBone Point blank it's impossible to drive a 381hp or your 500hp vehicle without traction control in the snow. I'm from NJ and it's been a BEAUTIFUL!!! system. LSD is for when the vehicle is stuck in snow. Push that button and peel away that snow right down to the black top. Come spring time I will turn the entire system off.(Wonder if it will start fish tailing..would it?)You're right the traction control slows down the rpm. Not a good thing if it kicks in on on coming traffic : )

  • JUST BOUGHT ONE WHAT SHOULD I DO WHAT LIFT KIT WHAT TIRES, RIMS? SUPERCHARGER??? I CANT SLEEP IM SO EXCITED

  • @ChillMood11 supercharger and a locker

  • @ChillMood11

    All of the above :)

  • @ChillMood11 You think money grows on trees? Depends on how much money you have and what you can afford. Also what's more important.

  • @ChillMood11 DO IT ALL MAN!!

  • keep ya foot down, let it hit the limiter it might snap 2nd

  • @onojRX3

What do you mean by "snap"?

I'm letting up, and it's still breaking traction in 3rd in this video?

This is with the "old" tune... hitting the limiter would make the engine choke... The "new" tune will let you ping on the limiter all day, and not choke the engine...

  • I thinking of buying one.... they are affordable.

  • @MafferDragonhandEyed

backed by a factory warranty..... ....balhhhhh..... why not?

  • In my opinion the tundra has de best outside looks, but the interior totally sucks is horrible. I think the one in the vid is a limeted becuase I test drove a 2 door (dont like 4drs) nad it was different from the inside. The limited is nice and I wish they had it and a 2 door model.

  • That's fukn bad ass dude!

  • Its Amazing! They need to make this a factory option, you know like it has the supercharger on the engine from the factory, and lower it a tad and make it a bit more aerodynamic. That would be awsome!

  • jesus christ....

  • Thats frickin awesome dude, how can you not love that!

  • Wow Ima show my dad this video he has the exact same truck but without the super charger...

  • Are you using stock tires? You probably need a fatter set to use all that power.

  • dude thats crazy strong! is that a standard? or automatic?

  • @Demon1987

    6-Speed Auto

  • @DawgBone 6 speed auto!! no way 6 freaken speed! thats stock?!?!?!

  • use 4x4

  • That is insane bro

  • WOW! under 6 seconds! with tire slip and quite the long pause at 30

  • theres a shitload of tundra owners with surging engine problems that wish like hell toyota would take the truck back or at least fix the problem, they wont!!! dont bet on your warrenty

  • trd + u = turd

  • @meattube4u33

    While that is funny....

    Nothing really turd about it....

Not many trucks cqn run this fast and maintain full factory warranty....

Also the ECU has yet to have been cracked....and aftermarket is slowly catching on... No telling what this block(in stock form) is truly capable of...

  • @DawgBone just with the sc it makes 504hp and like 550 lb ft. its damn amamzing, GM could only get that out of a 7.0l v8, not a 5.7l! Toyota rules.

  • @Motorfordtoyota wrong by a longshot. you can get 403hp completely stock in a chevy 1500. i am sure someone makes turbos/sc/chips for it.

  • @DawgBone If you want to see a monster with the same engine as your truck, check out Chris Rado's Supra.. the 3UR-FE in the car is overbored/stroked (to 6,2L) and has twin 88mm billet turbochargers... I wonder it it's the stock block, considering it pushes 2500hp... google "chris rado supra" and it's the first result up top !

  • nice truck bro

  • @TUNDRAROXX

Thanks mi amigo.... I love this truck...The SC made me love it that much more :)

  • That is sick! I hope to get one this summer for my '07

  • Now you just need to learn how to drive it..Nice truck

  • @rayneboo1

Just checked out your YT page... Can you upload a video that can "teach" me how to drive? Thanks in advance....

  • @rayneboo1

    Thanks...

  • @DawgBone I think your driving was just fine. I am from Australia and was curious, do these trucks have a V8? I am tempted to import...

  • @Volkswagon96

I'm surprised that they aren't sold in AUS....

But yes, they come in 3 engine configurations....

    4.0L V6....4.6L V8....or 5.7L V8....

Mine has the TRD supercharger for the 5.7 V8

  • @DawgBone That is one awesome truck. Thanks.

We Australians miss out on many good American cars unfortunately.

    Thank you for your reply.

  • Wicked...

  • did the white gauges come stock?

  • @chris000089

Yes.....they come stock with the Limited trucks...

  • well the trd version comes w/ an electronic locker not a limited slip

  • damm first gear hits 60 mph?

  • it's actually 2nd unfortunately...

  • @chevrolade1 no he actully shifts at about 25 because he lets off from wheel spin and goes to second and continues to spin

  • nice truck!

  • impressive!

  • Man you need to heat your tires lol.

  • they say if you run it in sport shift it wont fall on its face in second

  • i've got an 08 4x4 love it even with the extra weight it hauls the only thing i have done to it was put the trd cold air intake gives it nice sound but need to either put a chip or exhaust cuz i can feel it wants more breathing room love my tundra!!!

  • Throw that thing in 4x and then you don't have to worry about wheel spin. Beast of a truck, love that TRD whine.

  • JESUS NICE TIRE SPIN-AGE

  • holly shit... this video is making me wanna trade my chevy for a tundra

  • @BOMBERITOSOLITARIO Look up "Tundra Bed Test" and at the end of the video you'll change your mind. Definately fast as shit for a truck though.

  • @BOMBERITOSOLITARIO ? why? new chevys come with up to 403hp stock. you can put a sc on that.

  • @BOMBERITOSOLITARIO if u keep your chevy you could do an ls swap and eat toyotas all day lol

  • @BOMBERITOSOLITARIO I guarantee you won't have as many electrical problems with the Tundra. My parents both have Chevy vehicles, a 2500HD and a TrailBlazer. Both with quite a bit of electrical issues. My granny has a Corolla that is older than both Chevy vehicles, nothing changed except brakes tires and windshield wipers.

  • Very fast!

  • The Tundra stepped up.. ima chevy guy but this truck has more balls than any truck of its class. im still looking into gettin one

  • I'm a Chevy guy as well... I actually traded in a AWD Silvy SS for this truck, and other than the AWD and captain chair style seats(which are no longer as nice in the newest), I don't miss anything.

Other than the TRD ECU re-flash, I havent had a single gremlin. Build quality is nice, and have had zero issues.

  • Big deal!

  • Probably not for some... But pretty impressive considering it maintains full factory warranty... Not many vehicles offer a 123hp gain of an accessory and maintain warranty

  • can u put that supercharger in an 04' limited??

  • I believe they only have one for the 00-03 six cylinder trucks... Nothing for the 4.7... Being that they are still using th 4.7, I don't understand why they wouldn't consider it....

  • jeese... that is pretty impressive for a truck

  • Dam its pretty fast. Any other vids

  • sounsd great man, id love to feel how that pull when flored. just a question, about how long did it take you to isntall the kit

  • toyota the best car for ever

american cars jajaja piece of SHIT

  • fast as truck!

  • thats why u put it in 4wd

  • What Boost ? Looks like it pulls nice and strong

  • boring !!! japanes car sucks ..

  • wow that thing is mean!

5 thousand pounds, double cab, and your tires spin through secondd!

I am so fucking jealous that is so cool

  • 7,100 lbs, you can actually register this truck as a 3 1/4 -ton and save a fuck-ton of money on your car insurance!

  • damn! that is insane and look at the wheel spin! haha I bet it's cheaper because if you ever get into an accident the other car will be destroyed and tundra will have a dent like it backed intoa while!!!

  • we just put a SC on a Tundra at the dealership i work at, we could'nt tell much difference with the Trac control

  • Not exactly sure what you mean. I will say that TRD just recently issued a new ECU flash(last month), that resolved an issue with cold weather performance. They also found some issues with the VSC, and it has so far, been very notable difference in performance, even when all nannies are on.Having said that. this run was with the temps right above the problematic 55F degrees.warm motor, but cold tires(why wheel spin) as now that it's 90F+ I don't get that.Check my newer vid "New TRD Reflash"

  • wow that 0-60 time looks amazing whats the specs on that i couldnt tell by just looking

  • Your video is amazing!!! thanks for sharing...

  • spins through 2nd, thats pretty sweet lol

  • Very nice!!! I gotta get me one of these bad boys.

  • that is fast toyota

  • That is amazing I want that supercharger!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like u go past the 115MPH limiter at the end how did you do that?

  • I believe it's part of the TRD programming... which lifts the speed limiters

  • Hey did you get a warranty with this whole install package?

  • Yes... I bought the truck new and had Toyota install it... It retains full factory warranty..

From my understanding, the SC is now part of the truck, and locked to the VIN...

  • Thats freakin awesome man. Waiting to get the S/C for my Tundra. Frustrating and a long wait too.

  • that is the most wheelspin i ever seen in a automatic

  • TRD nice ! but TRD Turbo Racing Death ! not nice GODSPEED DRIVERS !

  • Try doing a run on a road made of concrete rather than asphalt. You should get much better traction, mainly in that second gear. Are you still sittin' on stock tires?

  • did you have traction controll on i didnt see the auto lsd light on

  • I had all the nags/nannies turned off.

    No traction control(ATRAC)

    No limited slip(ALSD)

    No Stability control(VSC)

Hold button for 3 secs, let go...hold for another 3 secs and let go

  • Why wouldn't you want the limited slip engaged?????? Then your just gonna one tire fire the shit out it....that's why your not hooking up...jeeze i couldn't imagine my x-runner open diff.....

  • The ALSD really isn't a limited slip on these trucks... All it does is determine which wheel is spinning, then applies brakes to it... It's not by any means a true LSD... And if you can imagine, if it were on, it would be a big mess and probably fry itself and my brakes trying to bounce between each tire that spins...

Mine has never ripped one tire... If it did, I wouldn't treat it this way... a one wheel burns are stupid hard on the spiders...

  • I've seen others on TS forums, that one wheel peel... For whatever reason, mine does not...ever....

  • Check out my later vids..TRD updated their tune... Having to do with cold weather issues and TQ management...

  • y dont u hit revlimiter they can take a shit kickin they r designed not to blow up if u do so

  • The TRD tune doesn't seem to hold it's RPM.... When I hit the rev limiter, it drops back down to 4k RPM's, tries to shift, then has to downshift again... It doesn't just hover and ping on the limiter... and why I was trying to monkey with the throttle

My Chevy Silvy SS would do this as well... but I could manually shift it with tow/haul on, and keep it at the limiter...

This Tundra is fast and fun, but I'm not trying to break it.....

  • yea i c what ur sayn u put lots of cash into it and u dont wana wreak it cuz they r a nice truck still better then the new rams

  • ive got an 03 tundra supercharged - im not too familiar with the "TRD Tune" but ive got the unichip system so mine lets me get past red - atleast when im not in 1st gear...that tundra is a beast but that would bug the shit out of me if it dropped the rpm's like that... dumb q but would the overdrive off help ( if you have O/D )? my other buddy watching has an 07 not supercharged and seems to think it would..

  • Sorry for such a late reply.. I never got the notification...

My truck doesn't have OD... It is tiptronic though...

The TRD tune let's me retain my warranty... When it's done, I may consider going to an after market tune... Hopefully by then, there will be some more SC pulleys/tunes available..

See my other vids..TRD updated their tune..

  • @DawgBone

no prob, i barely check my inbox to, yeah ill have to check it out a bit further, beeing able to keep the warranty would be nice.but im sure they would have the unichip c-map for your setup, they would be stupid if they dont, but it does give me the option of turning a switch to turbo mode and i have to run on only 110 octain, i cant punch under 65 otherwise my backtires completely spin. yours would be a fkn absolute monster if it had the turbo mode setup..Total Road Domination 4 life

  • awesome video man that is AMG status speed right there from that monster.

  • I bet this thing FLIES on the track with slicks...

  • Jesus fuckin sick!

  • i love supercharged tundras. i own one myself.

  • that makes me want to super charge mine
