It has always dedicated itself to the worship of the Old Gods (Yogg'saron is an example of one) along with other extremely evil beings. Because Deathwing kinda works for the Old Gods (in that they were the ones that drove him insane during the War of the Ancients) the Twilight Hammer kinda works for him. It has nothing to do with the Twilight series.
