OK so who was that stupid woman who opened the door whilst the train was still stopping...I love to have been standing there when she did that, the door to hit me and for me to give her a peice of my mind, lol. Also, the guard looked a bit puzzled..standing there wondering why the signal is still red, :-P A great video anyway!

I agree about the lady opening the door too soon creating a serious hazard. If she had tried to alight too she would have hurt herself too.

These people used these trains 5 days a week during their working lives they jumped out of these trains 5 days out of seven safety knowing they wouldn't trip up abit like driving a car really once you know how you never forget and 99% of the time you come back home without having a crash. I can see why us lot in the uk are wrapped in cottonwool and unable to make use of our abilities.

Lol you call yourself a uktrainman i suppose your a health and safety nut to thats killed off all our uk trains it was all the norm for London commuters to open the doors as the trains were stopping what you wouldn't do is stand too close to the edge of the platform obviously!

In 1977 I was a schoolboy - and often successfully getting rides in the cab!
I used to catch the 8.14 London Liverpool Street - Amersham, which started from the sadly now defunct bay platform at Liverpool St Stn.

I did travel on the '59 stock - but not on the shared route to Uxbridge.
I thought that the 1973 stock had an enhanced performance for the Heathrow service.

73 stock were just coming in when i was there. but i do remember walking down the tunnel fron Hatton Cross to Heathrow to se the route
