  • My son is a catcher Jr in HS. This training looks great, he WILL be working this for a while.

  • I say that SadegoGG doesn't know a thing about baseball. I would go even further to say that he hasn't played past the Pony League. Justin Smoak is very qualified to help demonstrate the process. Isn't obvious that Justin is clearly feeling the effects of training in this video, and as such is not representing his natural relaxed state when facing live pitching. This training is SOLID.

  • i played minor league ball with the mets and ive seen mlb veterans in spring training that absolutely hate the tee and couldnt do tee drills properly. but then theyd step in the box and demolish live pitching. justin smoak kinda reminds me of mark texeira

  • @dnicestone031 i agree he has the size and ability to crush da damn ball!

  • Wow sadego your are most definitely a fuckin idiot...how dare you even say that....do you even know who justin smoak is? 1st rounder idiot...he doesnt even know how to it off the tee? wtf is wrong with you? you are most definitely one dumb fuck....this guy takes whatever you bring to the table and takes it to another level! Get a clue

  • wow! how much does it cost to train with them? where is this located? someone please tell me

  • He takes a athletes training and ability to a whole different level. Hes defiantly the best around in the buisness. Much respect for his training methods and have learned a great deal of information from his training style and methods thanks!

  • He does it right? He should be teaching these kids how to do somersaults and cartwheels. Without an actual basis of athleticism, what is the point of working on mechanics. Especially mechanics that arn't even used at the top levels. This guy has not trained any real athletes, and there is a very good reason for that. Also, overweight training has been completely proven to lower performance, and underweight training under 10-15% of your game equipment also lowers performance.

  • "wont have you doing cleans"

fucking hilarious. You don't mimic your swing in the fucking weight room. This coach is way to sport specific and doesn't develop either a basis for athleticism or a basis for overall explosiveness and flexibility (Reactive Strength). Also, those resistant bands were an absolute joke, and that kid wasn't even hitting off of a tee properly or doing a drill. That isolation shoulder exercise at 4:17 sucks.

Pool training sucks in the first place. 4:48 sucks. 4:52 sucks.

  • @SadegoGG your a moron. you dont got a clue what your talking about. and "that kid" plays pro baseball. your ignorance is amusing. i bet your a terrible ball player.

  • @Soby5

My aunt is a millionaire. Want me to have her teach you to become a millionaire? Oh wait, she doesn't even understand how she became a millionaire. Neither do most millionaires. Most professional baseball players have no idea how they got there. You don't get to the MLB by having a good workout routine. There are players with good routines, and bad routines. The way to make the MLB is in thousands of books, and you can search for the answer yourself if you want to know more.

  • sedegoGG- you extend at different points depending on where the pitch is... you will get power from extending your hands and exploding through the hips at the same time... biggest thing is that your wrist snap and you drive through the ball. another thing there is no right or wrong way to hit a baseball...

  • This coach is an idiot!!!!

He is right about the explosive hips but the hitting mechanics (Arms extended) is completely wrong and actually decreases your power. Watch major league hitters ({Look at pictures of them when they hit, watch them in slow motion) and you will see they don't extend at the point of contact. They extend after contact when there hands are in front of there body. Hitting power is from the body, not the arms.

  • yup u are 100% right

  • Smart man right there
