I have a request its an mmorpg I would really like to see you play silkroad online on this laptop becuz im buying one very soon itd be much appreciated thks ; )
I wonder how well a 4GB of Sandisk Extreme III SDHC for ReadyBoost would do on this system. I'd imagine the read/writes on the flash would keep the HDD nice and cool, along with faster access.
Yeah, pretty much everything pre 2007 run well. Yes only one ram slot, but most of them come with 4 GB. I'm not sure what the max capacity is. I have thought about an SSD upgrade, but I don't have the spare cash.
This is impressive, I'm buying one soon. You're video confirms for me that any pre-2007 games work flawlessly on this hybrid beast. Out of curiosity, is it true this mode only has one memory slot? Also what is the maximum memory the motherboard can handle? Have you thought of doing a SSD upgrade?
Try using HWmonitor and GPU tool while playing in the background so can get a hum about temps. Plus kindly tell me what the sound level is when fans goes on.
@Turkrb4u Give me a little time to get some temp readings. I want to say that in linux it never really breaks 60 degrees C on the GPU, and that is with 3d desktop stuff. The fan isn't too loud unless you are sitting somewhere very quiet like a classroom. I actually have a power mode that sets the fan to passive. Let me also look into running TF2 on it. Would you like a video of that?
Oh, yeah those are two huge fans I have in my windows to keep my room cool. The fan on the DV2 is pretty much silent. I use this machine in class, and even when all is quiet, you can barely hear the fan if it's kicking at 100%. For some reason my a640 really picked that noise up. The Sony I used in the call of duty movie did a better job of not picking that noise up.

@jjwoznia
This Laptop is capable of running any new game if you configure it properly.
Like Just Cause 2, Crysis, GTA IV, etc.
If you really think I'm joking, check out my video of a Just Cause 2 benchmark.

Can you run Team fortress 2 on it?
Also how hot does it get?

Gaming on this looks quite impressive! Screen is not so great. Light leakage coming from the bottom.

Very impressive! The 3410 looks like a winner! In the Dv2 AND as an option on Dell's Inspirion 15.
