Concur. I wish I had to. Unfortunately, I had not seen the start-up procedure before and surprisingly, the whine of the engine didn't change much during ignition. I didn't want to fill my memory card and was 'flying blind' about when to start videoing for real. That's why this sequence is 'start-stop-start-stop'. I am invited back for filming when they go out, but my schedule never allowed it.
"Fatasses" and "redneck hell"?? Sir, check your pejoratives at the door and get out more! Who do you spend your time with, and compare these people to? You really can't see the crew chief in the back seat but he is in his 60's and thin as a rail. I know, and have met, many warbird owners and crews. They vary in body shapes and fitness. Shake their hands--I've never met one without an iron grip. And 'redneck'? Where do you get that, because one crew member isn't dressed in a tux?
The pilot, crew chief 1 (who rides with the Hun when they go out to events), and crew chief 2 who Chuckjagerdiver insulted are all vets of Viet Nam. Crew chief 1 told me stories of deploying to Da Nang. There are good stories of ANG showing up to the horror of the USAF regulars, only to become the 'go to' guys for the regulars -- not because the regulars were subpar but because the Guard crews usually had been working and flying the jets for 10+ more years...
The pilot told of his Hun pals ambushing and killing F-15s at Red Flag. They used tricks learned in Vietnam. "Age and experience overcomes youth and ability!"
Wow I bet those guys have some crazy stories to share. It really bothers me when idiots like Jagerdiver insult men who fought like tigers for our nation.
Not that this pilot is, and not to hate but why is it that the pilots and/or ground crews of these warbirds are big fatasses from the innermost depths of redneck hell? No one can deny noticing that.
never ending take off :-(

Wish you would have focused on more of what the ground crew was doing and not just the tail pipe.

I wonder if the afterburner in the F-100 kicked in with a loud bang like the 102/106.
