I can sing this song amazingly. I can play the whole song. But when i try to combine the two..... chaos is unleashed. I sing off tune and i play the wrong chords. Got any tips?

Marty, I'm a beginner working out of lesson books,and the first thing I wanted to do was to understand the instrument before I got too far into learning to play songs, so the first step I took was to learn C major scales up and down the fretboard just so I know what notes I'm playing when I play melodies.

 Your work on these lessons is great, but because I learned to understand the instrument, and why it works like it does I wish you'd name the notes, like with your open D "4-2-0" counts.F#-E-D

hey marty I have watched all of your beatles and stevie ray vaughan videos, they are great whenever i want to learn a new song i always see if you teach it first! you brak down the song beautifully and bring a lot of positve energy to the table, also your cover of dont let me down is awesome, you can really "feel" it so to speak i could almost know how you feel and you never said anything! and i appreciate that you make the guitar sing and you dont need to beat on it or use distortion.
