  • This is seriously, and i mean that in the most serious way possible, the most eargasmiclly good music ever. My ears jizzed fucking EVERYWHERE.

  • LOL this song makes me laff. doing it for choir :O hope i dont laff in the middle

  • So far, I think this could work for "The Emperor's New Groove"...somehow.

  • @TheBigRedMario I like Wicked and The Lion King..

  • Something you need to listen to with headphones. You need to soak up all of the raw power and emotion you can, and you can only do that by putting in headphones, closing your eyes, and imagining the magic of this production.

  • When I woke up in the morning on New Year's Day 2012, this was the first song I listened to.

  • the seven dislikes are Wicked fans

  • @TheBigRedMario Broadway noob.

  • seriously, coolest play i have ever seen. talk about some BIG PUPPETS.

  • I cant listen to this song with out balling my eyes out. It just invokes such emotion in me. This is quite possibly the most beautiful music I have ever heard!

  • I watched this musical, it was AMAZING!! <3

  • Can I just go back and relive this experience over and over again?

  • Anyone have a translation of the Swahili chants at the beginning?

  • @Thoralmir Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba [Here comes a lion, Father]

Sithi uhm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]

    Nants ingonyama bagithi baba

    Sithi uhhmm ingonyama

    Ingonyama

Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]

    Ingonyama

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [A lion and a leopard come to this open place]

  • im goin to see it in london in may it better be good

  • Saw it in Singapore during august, it's really amazing and unforgetable. Everyone must see this! It's a must!

  • I saw it in London, it was amazing!

  • The Main reason I'd go back to New York. :)

  • @kauaikillaz I know right?

  • I CRIED TOOO!!! :D

  • I've always wanted to see this on stage, and I finally have.

I'm 16 and during this number I had tears dripping down my face. It's so beautiful, I think everyone should have the chance to see this. :)

  • It's mellow enough it's made my morning. :)

  • So glad to see them comments and realise I'm not the only person that cried at this.

I've seen this three times in London, the most recent being August of this year, and this bit brought tears to my eyes, and I cried at the reprise.

"Til we find our place, on a path unwinding, in the circle of life" <3

  • i sa whis for my thirteeenth birthday so beautiful and so fun

  • The moment Rafiki started singing, and pretty much every single person involved in the show comes out to stage, just takes your breath away. I will never forget it! Truly brought tears to my eyes.

  • I may be a HUGE fan of WICKED....But I will admit...Lion King...I cried <3

  • Saw the musical for the first time just a few agoes for my bday.

This song had me at tears! :D

  • I still remeber the big grin I had on my face when I went to see the musical...the song was just so beautiful

  • Obviously the 7 dislikes mistook the button for "Dis-I-Like"...

  • This is a wonderful version. It brings tears in my eyes.... cannot describe in words....

  • The woman singing the part of Rafiki is fantastic. So much natural emotion in her tonal quality.

  • I began almost crying, when I saw the musical. This is absolutely breathtaking!

  • The opening of this version is great, but I'm not sure the solist's voice works with this. Still good though

  • I had to do this in choir, and we got the lyrics first and no-one knew what it was. Then the teacher sang it for us and we wall went,

    "OHHHHHHHHHH!"

It was amazing :3 shall never forget it...

  • When it starts the show, It always feels like the actors blesses the show everytime with a ritual

  • I can`t understand most of the lyrics but I don`t care

  • @lioness486 it's like,

    here come's a lion father,

    oh, yes a lion. (x2)

    we're gonna conquer,

    lion,

    "oh shit, it's simba!"

    "crap! run!"

    "aaah!"

  • I just saw this on tuesday, it was incredible, in my country, there aren't many standing ovations, but fuck it, I stood up and clapped like an idiot. Little did I know that everyone else did too.

  • i think it sounds better in person cuz the acoustics intensify it.

  • I prefer the dutch version, but I can't deny the fact that this is amazing! It's like a magic spell :D

  • Wow...they are amazing singers. I have always wanted to watch a Broadway show.

  • I like how you say that South Africans are really talented when it was ELTON JOHN who wrote all of the music to The Lion King..... LAWLZ.

  • @MicaelaCarling but hes not singing it, Africans are

  • @MicaelaCarling no, Hans Zimmer wrote the music. Elton John CO-wrote the lyrics with Tim Rice.

  • @LamaViAma Hans Zimmer wrote the score, Elton John & Tim Rice wrote 5 of the songs from the film. For those specific songs, John did the music and Rice the lyrics. Zimmer had NOTHING to do with those 5 original songs.

  • @BokuShadow What are the 5 songs, just curious? I'm guessing this is one, can you feel the love tonight is another?

  • @callan1991 iirc they did Circle of Life, I Just Can't Wait to be King, Be Prepared, Hakuna Matata, Can You Feel the Love Tonight. In the Broadway play they also did Chow Down, The Morning Report, The Madness of King Scar, as well as the Reprise.

  • @BokuShadow Thanks! Epic movie and unbeatable soundtrack! Do you know if Elton John had any contribution to Lion King 2?

  • @callan1991 Naah, Elton John only worked on Lion King 1.

  • @BokuShadow Aw shame, He Lives In You is actually an incredible song too, but nothing compares to the original Lion King soundtrack!

  • @callan1991 Yeah, it's probably the best from Lion King II <:

  • @MicaelaCarling They are quite obviously referring to the african singing. And as someone already said he co wrote the lyrics and did not write the music.

  • Great to listen to in the morn. Really wakes up up if you put it as your alarm too. XD It just makes you so ready to face the day, no matter what.

  • what are they saying?

  • @weirdo704 african!!

  • @weirdo704

Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba [Here comes a lion, Father]

Sithi uhm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]

    Nants ingonyama bagithi baba

    Sithi uhhmm ingonyama

    Ingonyama

Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]

    Ingonyama

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [A lion and a leopard come to this open place]

  • @howardkevinm

Nants ingonyama bakithi baba [Here comes a lion and a tiger]

  • @skaterguy829 its not tiger you idiot. Tigers arent native to Africa to begin with. the lyrics i posted are directly from the lion king site.

  • @skaterguy829 actually "Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba" means 'here comes a lion, Father'. The bit you're referring to means 'a Lion and a LEOPARD are coming to this open place' which is a translation of "Ingonyama

    Ingonyama nengw' enamabala" :)

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • I saw this musical a while ago , still one of the best musicals I have EVER seen.

  • 6 people are at the bottom of the food chain.

  • THE LITTLE ELEPHANT THAT SKIPS!! EVERYONE CHEERED WHEN IT CAME ON :')

  • @GeorginaWOAH Same with us!!!! :D

  • This has to be the best movie that Disney made! I wish I could see the musical >.< I hope it's as amazing as the movie!!

  • @ChipmunkNationFan200 It certainly was when I saw it. Great music, creative costumes, awesome puppetry, and just an amazing experience overall. I think I started crying by the end of this, the first number of the show. xD

  • @ChipmunkNationFan200 it's incredible. one of the best musicals I have ever seen. I hope you get there some day =)

  • 6 people don't have a childhood

  • Does someone have the lyrics for this song, with the african part too.

  • either that or they fell outta the circle....-_-'' hahaha

  • WTF who can dislike this song!!!!! LIES N SLANDER I SAY!!!! they just probably accidentally hit dislike or wanted to be the only one but others ruined it for em

  • What about 6 people just don't like the song???

  • @IIMajaTadeoII @cedarridgegirls They might just not like this version and prefer other version better. I personally think this song, as it is, is just beautiful - no matter what version, including the African parts.

  • One of the best part of the show!! I was sad though that the music and back vocals were overpowering, could barely hear the lead signer :( But it was still beautiful!!

  • This is actual very good for a live performance :D

  • 6 people where not moved by the circle of life

  • i swear the first two words the the begining were Ah Sevenya

  • When I heard the first note of this during the show, I was immediately sucked into it. And when the animals started to come put, oh my god, that was the coolest thing!!!!!

  • 6 people are upset because they make a hexagon not a circle

  • Wow... I really didn't believe it still gives me the chills. I saw this play about 4 years ago here, in Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City... In that time, just hear the very first yelling made me feel the chills. The lion king is indeed one of the best things Disney have ever made, and probably one of the best they will ever made.

  • Thats my jam!

    :D

  • these arent the right lyrics they sound like ninjas

  • @loverlove98 .... its broadway

  • @rdj9606 They should atleast make it sound right. Dont you think?

  • @loverlove98 Whats wrong with it??

  • @rdj9606 the dont pronounce the words right. and the song is different. plus some of the lyrics are wrong just watch the original and then watch this

  • Thumbs up if you keep going back the beginning at 1:00 and every in your house in annoyed with you for doing it!

  • I've taught and loved theatre all my life and this musical is truly a incomparable 'triumph' in theatre! It will always be one of my very favorites : )

  • This scene had to be, by far, one of the best scenes of the musical. Watching the animals walking down to the stage, close enough where you can touch them... Even though I knew they were just people in animal costumes, it felt so REAL. Like a dream, only so much better. It's a shame that Las Vegas won't be showing this anymore after December. If I could, I would back and see it over and over again. Maybe I'll get my college to do The Lion King

    <3

  • NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN T'SGONYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MABAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETIMABAAAAAAAA

  • i was 3 when i saw this in NYC... haha

  • best show ive ever seen. i got to see it in louisville ky couple years ago it could compete with the movie. the only thing that could of been better is closer seats.

  • this sounds awesome but when i saw this in New York... no words could express how this was. I love it!!!!

  • I would love it if my dance school did lion king as a production

  • i bet those dislikes were from people who were upside down when they clicked the thumb icons

  • Magical. <3

  • HAHA WOW!! We sound so weird! AGH! I love how they edited us!

  • lol, i remember the first time i watched this movie, i laughed in the beginning for that man shoutin "waaa" ..........the next second , once the chorus started , i was blown away ......im still blown away by this movie and the beautiful music it has

  • i here this song everytime i open a sunnyD

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • i was gown up with this beautiful film. when i was 12 my aunt, my uncle and me saw the musical.. now i'm 20 and i still love it. its the best, i mean really.. the BEST movie all time! the fucking adorable music makes me cry every time!

  • IIf I go to Ny I will see The Lion King for another tome. I saw 3 times.

  • why makes anyone think that this musical version makes a better alarm clock tone than the film version?

  • i wish the entrance was shorter

  • 4 people were not moved by the circle of life

  • we're singing this song for our spring festival ; but we sound better :) #NoOffense !

  • 2nd version / zweite Version / 2 wersja

    /watch?v=CwPSO_8YjsA

  • Damn COOOL LA! (La is Singaporean way of exclaimation!)

  • @seascouter02 IN THAT CASE LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA

  • How can anyone vote this down? The only reason I can think of is that they don't like "The Lion King"....so why are they watching it?

  • i've seen this play twice!!! my mind blown away both times!!!!

  • ...There are no words to describe this musical. It's unreal. You have to experience it live to get the full effect. I've felt emotions that I've never truly felt while watching this on stage. I wish I could see it again.

  • @ycsdramaqueen Sooo true!!!! people simply have to see it theres no other way

  • 4 dislikes:

    1 scar

    3 hyenas

  • I love this musical. <3

  • love this.

  • this song would surely wake me up if it was set as
