this video has another parts to it - where i go through the 2 Peter verses in detail, and i think there is a third part. The videos are part of a convo with a YT user called BibleTouchStone, who was a full preterist but is no longer.
have a look at the other videos on 2Peter and let me know what you think.
Hello again and God bless! I certainly appreciate your opinion and the humility in which you present it. Just for the record I am not a preterist and do not believe in the fulfillment of Revelation or the Olivet Discourse in AD 70. Many go outside of the Bible and read the book of Josephus to get this understanding. As you may know I belive that the New Jerusalem is the bride, the church, the Kingdom of God....that now exists. The Church sits in spiritual utopia. Spiritual death is no more
hi,
thats interesting. i'm looking at preterism at the moment - it's a completley new perspective. I have never heard it before now. it is very different.
i def. think that the new jerusalm is the church. i think 90% of revelation is person+work of JC past.
but some seems unfulfiled. including things in the gospels. do you expect Jesus to return physically to earth?
i think it will happen.

I believe the only future physical appearance of Christ on earth is in and through His church.
The "cloud comings" of God in Scripture should all be in view to determine the true meaning.
Please compare the cloud coming of God in Isaiah 19:1 to destroy Egypt. Was that a physical appearance?
Notice the language used in Isaiah 13:10 as God promised to destroy Babylon. Was it literal?
Now, think of how the NT describes Jesus coming to judge God's harlot wife Israel in AD 70.
