i dont know Max (im still trying to see how reaktor works, hehe), but i guess there is a way of creating a controller right? so u could assigned to a midi pedal and control whatever parameter u wanted...
seems like a cool patch, but you're not really explaining anything & the link is just some text code... nice video, but is kind of unhelpful for beginners... if you explained the setup like you did for the basic stutter effect, it would be perfect...
its funny, i tried redoing the patch, just by looking at yours, but mine reacts a bit differently. very aggressive and with heavy pitches and ramps. anyways, any idea how to get rid of clicking from my output?
I try to copy what you did but it didn't work, sounds like a space echo mine. I connected something wrong. i guess. could you help me? or did you upload the patch somewhere?
can you email me this patch? or send me the 'copy compressed' data? for some reason i dont know how to download the patch from that link you provided...eatyourscabs@gmail.com
For some reason I can get the level meters to bounce but I'm not hearing any sound at all. Don't have this problem with your "beginner's" version of this patch. DSP status seems to all be in order.
WOW, this is utterly fantastic. I love this. Sorry if I seem overly enthusiastic, I just found out about this software a few minutes ago when I stumbled across their website. Perfect for what I want to do with my music. I love creative stuff like this software. You did a great job with this. Your videos seem very informative and helpful in a non-demeaning way, and that's wonderful. Keep up the good work!
@lingerlonger82 its just guitar into motu 828 through the patch into my friend's very nice vintage amp. All of the distortion is what the amp is doing. Any soundcard with a preamp would be more or less fine.
@JoelisRich Hey man! The patch sound amazing. Congrats! I've read all the comments and some people (myself included) are having trouble understanding the connections inside all of this madness. Where do I plugin my guitar? - is it guitar-preamp-computer? And after that how do I get it out into the amp? How do I connect a footswitch to the patch? Im sorry for any inconvenience but I'm pretty new and dumb with all this stuff I would much appreciate your help!
Also, you might consider turning off the input to tapin while the feedback is up. Then you can set the feedback to 1 and it will loop indefinitely. (!-~ going into *~ for this) Alternatively... you could use selector~ to bypass the output of tapout~ and use the "freeze 1" message to freeze the output of tapin~. Note that you have to fix the loop time to tapin's duration, however, hence the selector~.
Replace the random / select / ggate code with itable, width n. The height of the values in the itable sets their probability, so you can have weighting. (you just need to bang the itable)
Similarly, the button / float combos can be replaced with coll. Also, check out the translate object for doing bpm conversion. You can send it note values (e.g. 16n = sixteenth notes) and it will update to the current time value of the tempo. (!)
i downloaded the patch, and i see the level meters moving up and down, but theres no sound coming out. I tried connecting into headphones, then into my amp, and then the internal speakers. Am I doing something wrong?
hi again, could i be really cheeky and ask if you could possibly do a tutorial on windowing specficically on a stutter object cos im having difficulty with clipping on my stutter thingy.
Thanks for posting this - these tutorials have a lot of useful tips in. (just to double check, you know there's a [stutter~] object, right? - not staying it's better, just checking)
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Real nice job explaining everything. I'm a life long musician who has some programming background, so reverse engineering bigger projects is definitely the best route for me to get a good grip on Max. Can't wait to build this. Thanks!!!

@hollowharmony1
IK StealthPedal would be one way.

Love the tutorial and the patch. Would you be able to provide the guitar setup in the video? What is the guitar signal running through exactly?
