  • the last one was funneh the joke

  • "why doesnt woody's pal bullseye talk?"

    "cause he's a horse!"

    "cause he's a little HORSE"

    -__-

  • Where was this? Disneyland?

  • his eyes are green

  • I LOVE DISNEYLAND!

AND I LOVE TOY STORY! (MORE THAN ANYONE)

SO I LOVE THIS RIDE MORE THAN ANYONE!

  • i was the guy who was laughing at 1:54

  • @ 1994Zacko- At disney World he is in the ride area.

  • lol, the jokes are all about Woody! =P I need to go to Disney World again so I can see this great Potato Head audio animatronic! :D

  • it'll even be more epic if theyd make rex or eveil dr porkchop

  • mr potato head is legit!

  • Not only mr potato head is talking to people, so does Mickey at his house in toon town !!!

  • it took us 3 hourse to get in it 3 frickin hourse!

  • He looks so damn realistic!

  • LMAO He rocks!

  • He sang that to me too xD

  • that is amazing!!!!

  • 1:54

  • xSOLIDSPARTANx i think ur wrong because i think that they just ask common questions and ask common answers like it very likly that someone would wear red and a girl would wear pink( although it didnt work veyr well in this situaltion)

  • @MuddieLena no, it changes for everyone. I was in the line for this, and this boy was wearing white standing alone, just looking out at the people, and potatohead looked at him, AT him, not just said something, and he's like "Hey kid! yeah, you, in the white! The one who's ignoring me." and the kid, was not only wearing white, he was literally ignoring him. Sooo I have to beg to differ on your little statement :)

  • Technology these days

You never know what's gonna come out next

  • i went to dca on 10/25/09, how come i didn't see this?

    is he broken?

  • Keep in mind: Mr Potato Head is at the apex of audio-animatronics technology. There's still some flaws that need to be ironed out with the current system.

  • wait is he real

  • No he is a robot but staff control him and that is how he responds to the boys and girls talking

i think thats how to works.

  • Well, no actually. He isn't controlled on what to say by any one else. The computer does all the work. I don't know much more than that though. I know this because I saw this on the History Channel. Yes, they did it on a Modern Marvels episode. I was only interested because blah blah blah blah blah...

  • Then how does he know what ppl look like...

Like one time he said "you thar in the red shirt come on step on up... don't look back like you can't hear me.. ok fine.."

    Thats what he said...

  • The computer can recognize people by the color of their shirt. They can also recognize you by the face your making and what you say. It's all explained in the show.

  • ps:is this one californa?

  • yea

  • is he is florda or californa? becuase im going to the californa adventure so is he im florda california or both?

  • "5 potato, 6 potato, you're gonna score"

    Wait, what? O_o

  • i went there for my 10 b-day and saw that in florida! it was so cool

  • hahahahaha did you get talk to ???? the jokes are weird but funny at the same time

  • Comment removed

  • if the eyes did not have a dark tint it would be perfect

  • The movements and expressions are amazing. Very fluid and..wow. Juar awesome. Great job Disney!

  • is this ride in pixar place in florida at the hollywood studios?

  • no its at disney california adventures in anaheim

  • is there a guy talking in a microphone? If not then this would be REALLY impressive. Either way though its the best robot thing disney has made so far.

  • farc300--

Its all pre-recorded dialogue by Don Rickles. They had him record hundreds of phrases.

But still, Mr. Potato Head is operated live by a CM backstage.

  • even movement??? (fanofwalle)

  • magermax000--

I don't know where fanofwalle went but I can answer your question. Yes, Mr. Potato Head's movements are controlled by a cast member backstage. :)

They use some sort of control panel and choose from lots of pre-animated movements that go along with the pre-recorded lines.

  • Um... I'm sorry to disappoint you, but with recent advances in autonomotronics (yes, autonomotronics), the Walt Disney Company can create Audio Animatronics figures that are run by computers and can make their own decisions, in a sense, such as this Mr. Potato Head!

  • Whoops... It's spelled 'automatronics'... Sorry about that...

  • OMG his movement is so SMOOTH!!!

  • he talked to me when i was waiting in line and i didn't know it actually talks to you

  • Hahaha that is a good one

  • i like this mr potatoe head! lol it was funny when me and my friends went because one of my friends is deathly afraid of toy story and she freaked out when she saw this. she said it was to realistic! lol!

  • I can't wait to go on this when I go to Disneyland! Thanks for a sneak pek with the vid!

  • ownege

  • in what day was the oppening of toy story mania

  • WTF

disney is the shit at making effects. The MIB ride, for example, has only a few movements per alien, few of which are actually affacted by your actions. disney makes incredible realistic, interactive attractions, such as this Mr. Potato Head

  • Mr. Potato Head rules! Donald Jay Rickles voices him!

  • That is the most advanced Audio Animatronic Iv'e ever seen!

  • it is! No kidding! best yet!

  • he was stuffed for years HAHAHAHAHA

  • Let's see Universal Studios create and animatronic that can pull off its ear, stare at guests, and actually move its mouth to create words and vowels. Disney can create things Universal Studios can never even think about.

  • You must be referring to uncle klunk.

  • @Basketbuddy101 Universal Studios is AWESOME!!! Dont Mess With Them.

  • @Basketbuddy101 and he can also see and talk to people :). One time my mom was in line and she was wearing a green shirt. then mr.potato head pointed at her and said" Hey you! Yeah you! IN the green shirt!" and he waited for her to reply then started asking a question :D

  • hahaha you're joking right?

Walt Disney World, first off is 10X bigger than Universal Studios

    2. has wayyy more attractions than Universal could ever afford

    3. creates immersive experiences for the WHOLE family to enjoy (not just you dumb thrill seekers)

    i could go on forever.

so next time you even try to insult Disney, know what you're talking about.

  • DUDE! Hello do you not know how much work it took to do all this? This guy is the first "Audio-Animatronic figure ever to have the ability to take off - and put back on - a body party." Backstage Pass Magazine. It took many years to perfect it. Have you ever seen PUSH the talking trash can? Or Roz on Monsters Inc? Let's see Universal Studios build stuff like this! Disney rules and is perfect for *all* ages not just older people. I love disneyland because the atmosphere is so great! :)

  • disneydanceVMK--

    I agree with you! :)

  • @disneydanceVMK actually, push works from a cast member "in disguise" as a park guest who watches what questions are asked and such and talks into a microphone and voice changers change the frequency and makes the trash can "speak"

it is here that i notice that your comment is 3 years old sorry

    :X

  • For those who haven't heard yet, Mr. Potato Head can also remove his right ear.

  • That's so cool. I can't wait to see that at DCA.

  • He does don't he?

  • oh my gosh he looks so real

  • I think the "wait" will be more that that! hah...

  • As we can see in this video, Mr. Potato Head will also be a "living character." Like Roz in the Monsters Inc ride. :)

  • That is some serious advance animatronics

  • Yup!

  • How did they do that?
