Yes, I did go with him everyday to the set, but they finished filming Twilight on May 2nd. And no, I can't really explain why they didn't follow the book exactly. It follows the book pretty well though. But they just added stuff, like the waterfall scene, and there is this scene they add, and its about Edward and Bella go on a field trip with their biology class. But trush me you will still like the movie. It was the directors idea to add stuff.
