@Palandy33 ....If you want to have a listen to Mike Pender's Searchers' version, I filmed him two weeks ago up here in Scotland singing Hearts In Her Eyes and I think his version sounds better... not keen on Eddie's drumming on this version!
For Mike's version look for Lanarkshire or Rutherglen 60s festival.

After all this time this video finally just now shows up and the good thing is we get to watch them perform it.I know that you will be glad to see this.
Actually it's from the 1st Rockfield album "Searchers" from 1979 ... and sadly it didn't chart although I believe it briefly bubbled under on Billboard in the USA. It deserved better.
In the UK it's called Play for Today while in the rest of the world it was Love's Melodies. There is a CD from Australia on Raven with all but two of the Sire tracks including B-sides. Another label in the USA has released the two albums on separate CD's. Also, to confuse things more, the first album was released twice in the UK with slightly different track listings and with different covers, one like the US cover, the other with a nice group portrait in black and white.
the l.p i got with this on it is called ''searchers'' released in 79',hearts is track1,side1, with-switchboard susan, feeling fine, thiskind of love affair, lostin your eyes-side2. its too late(brill tack),no dancing, coming from the heart, dont hang on, and loves gonna be strong--.lol. thats the one i got. i never play it, i did out it to tape once,so i wudnt ruin it.lol
I used to do that as well. Do yourself a favour and get the second album. You'll be glad you did. Love's Melodies. It's been rereleased by Wounded Bird records and it is available on eBay for about $12. Alternatively, get Sire Sessions. It's also on eBay and it includes almost everything they did for Sire. Two tracks are missing due to time constraints.
lol the one i got i got in a 2nd hand record shop so have it on vinyl but will keep a eye open for the other one.lol, a friend of mine has ''hungry hearts'' on vinyl and theyr like gold dust, i have it on c d.lol. will watch for other l.p thanks.

I wish they'd do more from the Sire Era. Those two LP's were probably their strongest from top to bottom.

Yes, they had the good sense to cover Big Star's "September Gurls".
