Insn't the langes messer like a longsword?

I always get confused with messe, langes messer and grosse messer...

Nope the translation of "Langes Messer" ist "Long Knife" it is too small to be a Shortsword but long to be a Dagger as well ( about 50cm)

@MAKSlM but some ppl call that sword/sabre in the video messer, some call langes messer. What do you call a shotsword? a gladius? The sword that they are practicing is the same size of a arming sword (like XII oakshott)

This is a great dvd. Unless you're lucky enough to have a good messer teacher, you should get it (and maybe even if you do!). A very nice job, well done!
