@ExothermicVideos I use HMTD in nearly every blasting cap, as it is a phenomenal initiator. The sensitivity to stimuli is relatively high, though manageable with the proper safety equipment.

@ExothermicVideos The press is homemade, and constructed from soft wood to minimize the chance of a fragment penetrating the blast shield in the event of an explosion.

I typically use drinking straws as casings, as they are relatively consistent in diameter, and HMTD tends to react badly with most metals.
