We have two charter trains running in the Feather River Canyon in 2011 and space is still available. Both trips start in the SF Bay Area and pick up additional passengers in the Sacramento Valley and Oroville.
I had the opportunity to travel by Amtrak from Portola to Sacramento on Wednesday March 23rd 2011. The Donner pass was closed to trains and Amtrack re-routed us. What a beautiful trip it was. Memories for a lifetime.
