the sequel should be like this: Kratos becomes god-king after he kills zeus. A new league of gods arise from another realm to take over kratos' kingdom since it is "vulnerable" now that Zeus is dead. Kratos goes on a mission to travel to their realm to kill all of the gods but in the process, some of them come through the "back door" to his realm and wreak havoc on its inhabitants. EPIC WIN

It was implied in part 2 that Kratos will destroy both the gods and the titans, thus obliterating Greek mythology and making way for Christianity.

The 3 pictures you encounter in part 2 show this, they are visions of the future - just like in part 1 where there's a vision in a picture of you battling Zeus
