On second thought Nutcase down there is right. It was animated by Japanese animators and its got most of the common anime touches minus the standard Japanese anime model quirks. So it already is one.
... Although I woulda wanted to see more of those too, like slapstick cartoon revertion and etc.
Anime = Japanese animation made for a Japanese audience that's imported to the US (ex: Pokemon, YugiOh, YuYu Hakashu, FLCL, Inyuyasha, One Piece, et al)
Ghostbusters, TMNT, Teen Titans, Avatar, et al = American franchises with outsourced animation; which makes them American, NOT anime
@vidviewer401: Yeah. The 80's and 90's had great AMERICAN cartoons, outsourced animation notwithstanding. Whilst the 2000's did also have a few gems amongst the junk, most couldn't hold a candle to the 90's and earlier.
Beyond those listed...Kim Possible (one of the few Disney herorines to become a central hero), Justice League, Samurai Jack, Invader ZIM (let's see a Johnen Vasquez show make it to primetime TV now, even with editing), Avatar The Last Airbender (regardless of the live-action movie, the cartoon was good), Danny Phantom (basically a Casper reference + Ghostbusters & Beetlejuice in concept ideas for a moden age)--for me, personally--All Grown Up (aging the Rugrats to keep them lively) were great.
@NUTCASE71733: Wrong. Just because animation is outsourced doesn't make it anime. Anime is Japanese animation made for a Japanese audience that usually winds up imported to the US. Shows like Ghostbusters, Teen Titans, Avatar, and all others are STILL American, outsourced animation or not, so they are NOT anime.
@TherealRNO Well cripes, if you break it down like that then no its not an actual anime. But its got all the essence of one if you ask me, I mean look at it... And loosen up, pal.
Nah, things Japanese should stay Japanese, while things American should stay American. It'd be they same if you did a Hollywood version of Sailor Moon. It just doesn't work, because there are too many details to change so it fits culturally, thereby destroying the original impact. Sorry, have to disagree with this idea.
actually, you would be mistaken as the song was sang by John Smith for the cartoon version. When he did the song that is heard in the promo, he did it without his band and thats why the song has never been released.....
@Bowmaj21 try listening to this for about an hour straight :I. they played this at the cafeteria in my school along with sometimes the addam's family theme. i thought it was cool at first, but then, it got annoying. even listening to this song now hurts my ears a bit. no joke.
hey ghostengineer this video is cool hell I remember when this came out I see you are into ghost incounters this may intrest you my old famn house I live in is haunted built on an old cemetary supposibly Native American and there in an old wagon triil that runs right through my pasture now and than I see and feel haunts out here so I belive in all that LOL no I am not crazy for those who may think it
I'm glad people on YouTube are posting the promo. Sony Television deserves to lose profit for only selling the DVD set on Time Life. Greedy, rotten bullies.
At least Time Life listened to the fans and released the show on DVD, unlike Sony who wouldn't know a money making product if it bit them on the ass let alone realise they've got a bestseller on their hands
slimer you fat green fuck !

@TherealRNO I think the only cartoons that shined during the 2000's were:
Avatar the Last Airbender.
Transformers Animated
Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go
Teen Titans
And add more if you have any other cartoons during the 2000's that you thought were good.

They shoulda made a GB anime.

Technically this was an anime since the guys at DiC outsourced the animation at numerous Japanese/Korean/Chinese animation studios.

I think it's official! It is IMPOSSIBLE to get tired of this Song!
You just have to sing along!
Some theme songs get old with time, but not this one, baby!
The cartoon version wasn't too bad either!
Bowmaj21 2 years ago 9
Amen to that! I AGREE. This is a classic and it is their theme music, which I find tradtional.
