Rokke has a bachelor's degree in Physics and Army temporarily made him "Theatre Health Physicist". He is not a "warrior" and he is not a disabled combat veteran because he never saw combat. Rokke got to Iraq in April after the Gulf War and treated some people with BandAids and SteriStrips after they cut and potentially contaminated themselves fighting a fire in an M1A1 tank being towed home that caught on fire because it overheated.

This is the "expert in DU" that is expounding on this bad science fiction video.

U238 is actually the most harmless part.

You have to look at the decay products which are all strong Gamma radiators, which will easily walk through any protective clothing. This is the part you actually measure with a Geiger counter. Thorium 234, Protactinium 234, Unranium 234, Thorium 230, Radium 226 which is a gas. Added half times 322,000 years.

The reason they do not talk about is that (in theory) all of the decay products have been taken out. Obviously, within years, some decay products are present in DU, and do have a measurable effect. But it is quite limited, I believe it contributes a few percent.

Doug Rokke is no expert on depleted uranium. Many of his claims can be shown to be false. For instance, he has often claimed that 30 of his "team" died as the result of exposure to depleted uranium. The army looked into this claim and found that only one had died and not from depleted uranium. Rokke is a faker of the first magnitude.
