Eclipse: Removes opponent's Defense, Resistance, and Luck and deals 5 times the original damage. Black Knights maximum Strength is 40 plus 18 from Alondite's power makes a grand attack power of 58. Eclipse makes the damage go up to 290, Miracle only halves lethal damage, doesn't stop lethal attacks from doing any damage. For example take Ashera at Max stats, Eclipse at maximum power deals 290 pts of damage to her 120 HP. Miracle will reduce the damage to 145 pts, still Black Knight wins.

@bitrel07 That's why there's the Skills called Nihil and Parity for using in direct combat on this guy. If you can't afford to have one of them or both, just go inderect since Eclipse only works during direct battles. Miracle can help you survive all skills but Eclipse, due to Eclipse being a lone skill to the Black Knight/Zelgius as Aether can only be given to Ike as a Vanguard (RD) and Lord (POR). Smashed this guy up with Mia, Llyana, and Soren by accident on Part 3.

@bitrel07 Actually if Miracle was activated, the health would only go down to 60 in your scenario you mentioned. Miracle stops all fatal hits even Lethality.

@SSBBplayer1 Only problem with your answer is that the Black Knight has Nihil automatically equipped so Miracle is useless. Nihil can't be unequipped unless you hack into the game which I'll never do, if you wish to avoid beingf hit by Eclipse, go for indirect combat.

I was curious though, if a unit has miracle (possibly ashera, depends on damage ouput from eclipse), and gets eclipsed, does he or she still get KO'd? Say Tibarn has miracle, and gets eclipsed (damage is OVER 2 times his HP), would he still perish?

(And no, I don't hate tibarn, he's awsm. 8D)

In a nutshell, take luna, and then take astra. add them together so that he ignores defence and does str.+mt. = damage, then hits 5 times. THAT is eclipse

Scary thought for you. Order Incarnate has 50 strength cap. The various Judges all have 50 Might, save a specific one which has 52. 300-302 damage if you could give her Eclipse.

@Gogito4 ok put BK's str to 0, eclipse hits 18, luna will hit 54 if hes using alondite. Eslipse multiplies strength by 5, therefore if the unit has no STR it hits nothing just the weapon Might, Luna multiplies damage by 3 not STR, so with 0 str + alondite it hits 54.

Thoough this is very technical, and will not happen with out hacking.

Statistics can tell you that straight away...

black knight's damage, when the defence is nulified, is 56, multiply that by 5, that's 280 damage, and no unit has that much HP

If I recall corectly, Eclipse does x5 damage while nullifying DEF. However, if the amount of damage given exceeds the amount of HP the opponent has, you'll only deal enough damage to kill them.

Like how when an enemy has 1 HP and Ike can hit him for 20 with Ragnell, but when Ike actually hits him it only does 1 damage, then the enemy dies. Same applies here. Ashera just has more HP than Ike... ALOT more...

Nothing in FE history can survive an eclipse EVEN if mist were to do it with A SLIM SWORD since mist has 25 strengh caped with a silm sword 27 times 5 equals .... 135 damage .
