This series is in my opinion the best Robin Hood ever, and I have seen all of them I think, from Errol Flynn onward. It is at once realistic, innocent (at times), and idealistic. I suspect it is in fact most representative of what really happened given the centuries since. This one is truly great.

First Season was pretty good if not great. But after the first episodes it's totally unbelievable. I think they switched writers or something. The only thing that saves it is the acting from a great cast. Otherwise I've gone to better written shows!!!

And Kevin Kosner Robin Hood was pretty awful. And Nottingham is not a remote village, did you just forget the reason they came?
The bit where Robin and Much are hiding under the branches from the guy on the black horse reminds of that scene in Lord of the Rings where the hobbits are hiding from the ringwraiths!

It is the weapon of Muslim horse archers during the Crusades. Since Robin Hood is campaigning in the crusades, it is plausible that he adopted the bow of Muslim archers. This type of bow is more powerful than the iconic English longbow. It can hit its target futher and achieves deeper penetration than the longbow.

I miss this show so much. Right at 0:18 when the music started getting intense my heart sunk a bit and I remembered how much this show meant to me. They used that music so much throughout the whole series... Whenever I needed to run somewhere quick, I would play it in my head and imagine that the Sheriff and Gisborne were after me, to make myself run faster. This show was such a joy, the first TV series I got obsessed with. R.I.P Robin Hood, one of my childhood heroes.

@kathrynmc6 But she came back in the very last episode when Robin died and Robin welcomed heaven with open arms because he was with her again. So i think the weeks and terrible episodes were bloody worth it!

@hellexistsidiots yeah it was good that they made it a happy ending and that is the only reason i carried on watching through all the terrible episodes leading up to the final, them being together. Even though the last season was awfull the first two were pretty amazing so i carried on watching it out of loyalty. And your right it mad it all worth it!

I'm not being funny for all the ppl that want to dis this programme its BBC's own programme it doesnt have to be perfect fucking hell they can use what they want. Its like saying Baz Luhrmann's version of Romeo+Juliet is shit because it had been modernised. I doubt in the days of Robin Hood they would speak like that either. just stop dissing and either watch it and enjoy it or just dont say anything at all. I really don't enjoy how dolled up the women are in this. It doesn't make any sense. What is up with that BBC? It's like they're trying to be well it reminds me of really bad porn. Sorry guys. I know people love this show but I found the way they portray women in this really gross.

I admit, this series is historically inaccurate beyond belief, but I started watching it for Richard Armitage and now I'm enjoying the series for not only him, but for its funny moments and the music. Really like the intro theme music.

This is the worst Robin Hood ever. Zip up boots, modern camoflaged nets and not a longbow in sight. Also known as the colour blind version because of the black and asian actors who should not be there. Typical BBC Also TC is made in series not seasons.

This is a brilliant series but there isn't anything after Season 3 Episode 2 part 1/5 so if you don't want to be highly disappointed...dont start watching...I'm devastated and wont be watching any more of Vampires22 downloads.
