Africans Americans need to stop relying on the education system to find out about their own history. Very few slaves that ended up in The New World came from Southern Africa. ( south of Angola) If some of them did they certainly did not end up in North America. The reason they automatically chose South Africa as their country of origin is simply because it's the most euro centric Africa you can get.Learn yourself without prejudice.

What you may mean is those are the places that most african americans reside in when they migrate back to africa. Nigerian africans were mostly hatians and new orleans people thats why the yoruba faith is so immense in the population. Ghanaian descendants are in places like Jamaica.
