was a minor UK pop hit should have crossed over bigtime - remembering hearing it quite a bit on the pirates (JFM,Solar, Invicta) in London at the time,
I so regret getting rid of allmy vinyl. should have waited till I had them all on cd or found some storage space and a good set of decks and stereo to hide away and enjoy. Ah the memories!!!!
May have replied this b4 but who gives a toss ,this is juist a great track really takes me back ,tune into Colourful radio on Dab they play a lot of old school does anyone know where i can download this for my iplayer
@careywasp It was clearly someone who is deaf cannot hear music. I first heard this on CHIOCE FM in the good old days. It was the revival beat of the week and would be played every show for a week as voted by the listeners.
Bought this 12" back in the eighties when it first came out. Love it then and still love it now as it holds such sweet menories. What a timeless mesmerizing classic. Bring back the eighties funk/soul era, much better than the rubbish they play now.
@XxBabyGurlLovexX You're only 18, well done for having such wicked taste in music. It surprises me the sort of stuff young people listen to these days, such rubbish with no substance.
@antonisus Yea that's true because I believe that Old School music is the best and I enjoy listening to it all. I really don't give a care about much of this mess they play today. I have a certain taste in music and I enjoy being different when others may think I'm silly. Music now doesn't make much sense. It's ridiculous *smh*
A top tune thanks to Heyroz27 for putting this on here ,heard this on unknown fm today just brought back some memories pirate stations in the 80"s like TKO SOLAR LWR KISS were all belting tunes out like this
Heard this tune on Unknown Fm this morning thought i check it out ,not heard it for about 20years ,what a great vibe ,a big thanks to Heyroz27 for putting this on here
I just love this tuune - oh good days! Me too wouldn't have remembered it - just need to find a way of getting all these old classics on my I-POD - I Tunes is crap
My homie and I remade this song. Its on youtube. Search for Do You Like That By: Harlem and Mike Mack. I bet you will love the track!!!! But this song is the shit. I listen to it everyday!!!
Actually, you got your wish already. Switch has already reunited, but El isn't on lead. They are doing concerts around the States, so look out for them. Join The DeBarge Network to find out more.
Man talk about a memory jolt. This is such a class choon and I can't seperate this in my head from 2 other class steppers from back in the day Windjammers Tossin' and Turning and Sunfire Young Free and Single
I've never heard this song. My mother had an extensive record collection when I was young. Sadly, she gave them all away (including mine that had gotten mixed in!). She was clueless! :-) Anyhoo, she had Switch and, like so many, I thought all of the guys were soooo goodlooking! I might have been 10yrs old. I love all things DeBarge and have just discovered youtube (I know!). Just learned through youtube that Bobby passed away (RIP). Hearing these songs really touch my heart. Thanks so much!
My mom did the same thing and she had a couple of Switch LPs and I always wonder why Debarge sound like Bobby in Switch. Then of course I eventually found out. But I used to have a crush on the one who wore the baseball jacket and kind favor Ray Parker jr. I think his name is Eddie Fullen. The other guy in the hat use to remind me of my uncle LOL. That was the cool thing about having record covers vs cd covers you can really get a good look at them. Take care!
Electric Ballroom circa 1984.George Power & Paul Anderson useto rock this + many other boogie joints.Big yowsa to all the great personality dancers from the original London boogie who flew the soulful funk flag in the aftermath of Crackers...Little John Riley, The Browns aka Milliners(Michael,Dave,Geof)& Andrew Banfield of dance troupe Finesse & later Pasadenas,Kelvin Tambale,Mark & the Company Boyz, Paul Trouble Anderson,Simon, Juliette,Steve from West London,Tony 'Buzzboy' Francis.
By the time the song to this album came out the original members of Switch had sadly pretty much disbanded, Switdh was totally a different group. Bobby and Tommy joined the family group DeBarge. Phillip Ingram pursued a solo career.
Benn trying to find this for years, it reminds me of my Dad, who sadly passed away a few years ago, he loved it. Haven't heard it for years, wish it was available for download, but can't find it anywhere. Thanks at least I can listen to this when I need an eighties fix. Thanks so much..
Been looking for this for years! A mate made a tape for one once and it got stolen. I never knew who it was by. This is the first time I've heard this in over 20 years! thanks:)
my big brother took me to see these guys live in birmingham alabama @1979. my fav groups at that time were ewf,bar-kays,cameo,prince,and switch...man they were awesome! horn section was kickin!all real instruments !they killed it! amazing talent!
