I just signed up for Hypnobirthing classes and came across you video! Thanks for sharing your beautiful birth. It's so inspiring to see that people are using this method. I hope my birth goes just as wonderful. Congrats!!!
What an inspiring hypnobirth video. Thank you for posting this. My husband and I have been taking hypnobirthing classes and are looking forward to our baby's birth. ( I especially loved the rush of emotion you displayed following the catch and the earlier requests to 'don't tell me what it is' - I can see myself doing that!)
Thank you so much for posting this. It's so great to see a beautiful calm birth like this. I love your rush of emotion after she's here. What an amazing experience! Thanks for sharing!
i did this with my daughter Addesyn, it was so amazing to experience it. i was amazed to see her. i was so glad i went with it. but i was not as strong as you were, my daughter was born April 8th of this year.
Did you attended Hypnobirthing classes? I would love to have Hypnobirthing classes, but it is just too expensive for me. Do you think that I can learn the Morgan Method just by reading the book and listening to the CD, or trying to learn all alone is a waste of money?
positively unbelievable! you are so amazing...i can't thank you enough for sharing this. will be ttc for my first this summer and (hopefully) birthing at home in water next spring. i am going to find out everything i can about hypnobirth right this minute! i'd heard of it before, but the way it was presented sounded like a gimmick or fad. watching your baby's birth, i am completely convinced. thanks again and again for sharing.
I love this! I just found out that I'm pregnant (and too excited!), and I'm wondering what trimester you started your Hypnobirthing courses and whatnot.
This is great, I think I've watched this 10 times since the first time I saw it. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for sharing! I have just done a Hypnobirthing course this past weekend & am so encouraged to see videos like this one that shows it really DOES work! xx
Just sat down with my daughter to show her what it looks like when babies are born. And funny... she was born just a few weeks before your Anya, also at home, also in the water. But I must say, without the hypnobirth, MY home video is not suitable for her to watch at this age! ! It would just be too scary for her as I was QUITE vocal and in a lot of pain. So glad she was able to witness yours as an example of a beautiful, natural birth at home. Thank you for sharing!
THANK YOU for sharing! I'm using Hypnobirthing and my EDD was yesterday. These videos mean the world to me and are giving me a lot more confidence! Thank you for having the thoughtfulness to post it :-)
@MidLevelGFX Babies are in amniotic fluid in the uterus. They are getting all their nutrients and oxygen from the unmbilical cord, which is still pulsating after they are born. The air hasn't hit their face yet, so they have no impulse to take their first breathe.
I am planning a homebirth this January. I want to labor and birth in the water but was wondering how you keep the water warm. I haven't figured all that out yet...I'm not sure how to set it up or what to buy.
@jptrgoddess My first birth hurt like crazy (for a number of reasons) and there was no way I could hide that pain, I'm just not good at doing it. The whole reason for sharing this video clip was to show that birth doesn't have to be painful and dramatic. Not feeling pain doesn't mean not feeling anything at all. There was a whole lot of sensations and emotions going on, but none of that was pain. So my calm state was both the reason and the result of how this birth went :)
Thank you for sharing! I am a student (& Mom also :) in my last year of Communications & recently did a paper on exploring the messages that women receive with regards to the birth experience. I honestly feel that you have nearly single handedly blown the belief that birth=a terrible painful experience, right out of the water! You are amazing & powerful in your calm, focused birth- very impressive :) Wish every pregnant woman (& their support) could see this! Hugs to you all - you rock!
This was an incredible video. My first born was a hypnobaby, and I am SUCH a huge advocate..... I think its great that you posted this and that people can see just how amazing HypoBirthing can be!! Congratulations awesome Mommy!
I did hypnobirthing as well, but I wasn't nearly as quite as you were. I was able to relax, but I guess I'm just to loud naturally that relax didn't equal quiet!
This is incredible. If you don't mind me asking, how much does the Hypnobirth class cost? I'm trying to get pregnant right now, and plan to use this method!
@kittenfetus666 I've just trained as a HypnoBirthing practitioner. Each practitioner can charge whatever he/she chooses to, but genrally i've found charge £295 (in a small class). That is for 4 sessions over 4 weeks and the HypnoBirthing book and rainbow relaxation CD. There are so many amazing things to learn, I recommend it to any parents who would like to birth their baby in a relaxed and fearless way.
Beautiful ! What a calm birth. I am planning a home birth in about 1 month from now (after a very unplanned and unnecessary c-section with my first) . Thanks for sharing such an inspiring video! Congratulations!
What a beautiful birth! You did an amazing job working naturally with your body and your baby. Great non-invasive support from your midwife and beautiful work from your partner. Thankyou for sharing, if only the whole world of birthing women who are taught to fear this amazing experience could see this. :)
I am due in about 8 weeks, and I'm super curious about hypnobirthing! I signed up for hypnobabies. Were you in pain during this time and dealing with it really well, or was it painless because you were so relaxed? Any advice/details would be really encouraging.
Wow! This is just beautiful.....and exactly what birth should be like, calm peaceful and relaxed. I love how supportive your husband and midwife are....no- one is in your face, or screaming at you to push! Your midwife is AMAZING!
This is so encouraging. I've had two out of three at home and this is the first i've read the hypnobirthing book with, i'm hoping for "scream free" birth :)
awesome video! I've been studying hypnobabies for the past few months and my guess date is a week away. I am getting so so nervous so I wanted to watch some video's to help me know how peaceful birth will be. I will be honest, I've been letting a lot of fear in over the last few days, I think it's just all the anticipation. I will be thinking of your video often as affirmation!
I'm giving birth in a couple of weeks and this video was so wonderful to see. Really an inspiration, makes me feel calm. The midwife seemed absolutely fantastic too. Congratulations!!!
I've just found out I'm pregnant with number 2 and some friends recommended checking this out. My first labour was wonderful but had complications due to an unexpectedly large baby who got stuck. I wanted a water birth with him but an epidural ruled that out so I'd love to try hypno-waterbirthing this time round!! Thanks for the awesome video I love the bikini skirt idea ;)
Amazing! I am delivering in July using hypnosis, and I am so elated that you shared both hypnobirths here on you tube. As I prepare for my birthing time, I come back to these movies, to remind myself how wonderful it will be. Thank you for sharing this!
Two hypnobirths? Oh my goodness that is wonderful! I can't imagine childbirth without pain killers with minimal pain. I know I'm interested in a waterbirth whenever I get married and start a family. I'll have to look into a hypno water birth, and any doctor or nurse who tries to preach at me against it can kiss my butt!
I live in Mexico and I am preparing for my second homebirth using the Hypnobirthing Mongan Method, this time in the water. There is not much knowledge about hypnobirthing neither about home water birthing in the city where I live. I was very excited to find your video and be able to see with your experience what I am looking for my own birthing. I still have some questions and would like to ask if there would be a way to contact you and/or your midwife-doula for some orientation. Thanks!
i am due in 3 days and excited to see how i go! i have watched your video throughout my entire pregnancy and it has strengthend my faith in the power of my mind and thankyou for shring this it is definately a love story! especially how your husband poured out his love to you giving you the love, support and encouragement, what a great man! and what more can i say about you???......YOU ARE AMAZING!
Thanks for sharing your lovely birth! I had exactly the same, a home hypnowater birth :) I wish everone could have beautiful enjoyable births like ours
Amazing control. Amazing hypnobirth. I am planning on my 1st water/hypnobirth (3rd boy) in June. Husband and I start our hypnobirth classes in March. I can't wait and I hope it's as great as yours.
amazing! thank you for sharing this! i am planning a water birth at home (due in june), and this is really an inspiration... i don't know much about hypnobirth, but i think i will have to find out what this is all about!

Wow, that last comment makes no sense at all. Not able to experience? How about the safety of my baby or myself if something (God forbid) went horribly wrong. I don't think that my husband or partner would know how to help. Unless of course they are an OB. I suppose that you put other people's children at risk by not vaccinatung your kids?? Don't even get me started on that. Good luck with your inflatable tub, it sounds really sterile.
First of all, I did have a midwife who safely delivered over 2500 babies in her 30+ years of practice. She had on hand everything that would be needed in an emergency situation and we also have hospital just 15 minutes away. I really don't feel like I have to write out everything that I'd researched about home births for over a year before I made the decision. Can you say that you spent just as much time researching your options before making your choices?
And just for the record I do think that my inflatable tub beats hospital beds and equipment as far as sterility goes. Hospitals are known for having sick people in them...
I can clearly see how prejudiced are towards any alternative choice by the way you make your assumption about vaccinations. I really suggest that before jumping on anyone for the choices they make, you first do some research on BOTH sides. That's what educating yourself is all about.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You put your baby and yourself at risk. What if something went wrong? It is fine to have a natural birth but you are extreme. This should be considered abuse
How much do you know about the risks, or rather benefits of homebirth? I'd say not much if you call it abuse. Homebirth with a qualified birth attendant for normal pregnancies is just as safe, if not safer, than hospital birth. Less interventions means less risk. Sorry don't want to sound mean, but when you make such a straightforward accusation, I can't help but give a straightforward answer....
Dont be so naive, it takes inner strength to birth in this way and is far safer than current hospital birthing which revolves around 'fear'. You are clearly jealous of not being able to experience it yourself.
Do some research before you go off shooting off your mouth, its just as safe, and often safer for a low risk pregnancy to be done this way. If you dont agree with it, dont watch it and definatly do no comment on it.
Thank you soooo much for sharing. I am preparing for a water hypnobirth in less than 3 months and videos like this are inspirational and make me so emotional and excited!!!
Thank you!! This is one I will watch over and over as I prepare for my third baby. You did absolutly amazing! If only every expecting couple could see this...
This is such an inspiring hypnobirth. I can tell you did exactly what your body needed you to do. Beautiful...just beautiful. Thanks again for sharing!
Wow - after a pretty rough birth with #1, this is just how I want my current pregnancy to end. I've just started reading Hypnobirthing and it is just so inspiring to see such a wonderful outcome. Congratulations and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!!
quit the opposite, I didn't clench my teeth, my face was relaxed, and I wasn't in pain. Trust me, if I was in pain, everyone would be able to hear it (like with my first birth).
I didn't post this to mislead anyone but to inspire... Everything I said and did is exactly the way it was :)
i am concidering having this sort of birth for my first. Its seems so calm. Id like to know if they do that here in Australia. That was absolutly beautiful!
This was such a beautiful video! Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. I always used to think that the more drugs I could get, the better. But watching this has really made me want to have a waterbirth just like yours. I guess the only thing that ever kept me from having a baby is the idea of the pain. I have such a low threshold for pain...what is it like?
Having a home birth is a wonderful way to bring a new life into the world for all parties involved. If you are in good health, you should expect to be able to deliver without complications rather than live in fear of all the what ifs. If you can relax, and trust your body's ability to deliver (yes it can without some bossy doctor making decisions for it/you!), than you should have a home birth. Make sure you get a tub - I don't know what I would've done without mine!
hospital births should be made illegal...how can someone look at a homebirth like this, then a hospital birth and actually even think for a second the the hospital is better?
the yelling, the people, and everything...sure in case of an emergency, but how many full term healthy babies have an emergency situation that cannot be dealt with at home? very few...
thanks for sharing this vid...it almost made me bawl...i have to go in for a hospital birth in three weeks and am terrified
Everyone else has these giant gray or black tubs that look like big, round garbage cans. I like that you chose an inflatable pool complete with happy looking fish instead. :) haha

Thanks!

Congratulations and thank you for sharing your absolutely gorgeous homebirth with us.
Don't worry about trying to explain yourself to others who just don't get homebirth, sometimes the fight just isn't worth it.
You can't educate the ignorant.
Give me 10 homebirths over a hospital one any day.

Amazing control. Amazing hypnobirth. I am planning on my 1st water/hypnobirth (3rd boy) in June. Husband and I start our hypnobirth classes in March. I can't wait and I hope it's as great as yours.
heatherwaitgirl 3 years ago

Wow, that last comment makes no sense at all. Not able to experience? How about the safety of my baby or myself if something (God forbid) went horribly wrong. I don't think that my husband or partner would know how to help. Unless of course they are an OB. I suppose that you put other people's children at risk by not vaccinatung your kids?? Don't even get me started on that. Good luck with your inflatable tub, it sounds really sterile.
cab245 3 years ago
First of all, I did have a midwife who safely delivered over 2500 babies in her 30+ years of practice. She had on hand everything that would be needed in an emergency situation and we also have hospital just 15 minutes away. I really don't feel like I have to write out everything that I'd researched about home births for over a year before I made the decision. Can you say that you spent just as much time researching your options before making your choices?
happyolya27 3 years ago
And just for the record I do think that my inflatable tub beats hospital beds and equipment as far as sterility goes. Hospitals are known for having sick people in them...
I can clearly see how prejudiced are towards any alternative choice by the way you make your assumption about vaccinations. I really suggest that before jumping on anyone for the choices they make, you first do some research on BOTH sides. That's what educating yourself is all about.

You put your baby and yourself at risk. What if something went wrong? It is fine to have a natural birth but you are extreme. This should be considered abuse
cab245 3 years ago
How much do you know about the risks, or rather benefits of homebirth? I'd say not much if you call it abuse. Homebirth with a qualified birth attendant for normal pregnancies is just as safe, if not safer, than hospital birth. Less interventions means less risk. Sorry don't want to sound mean, but when you make such a straightforward accusation, I can't help but give a straightforward answer....
happyolya27 3 years ago
Dont be so naive, it takes inner strength to birth in this way and is far safer than current hospital birthing which revolves around 'fear'. You are clearly jealous of not being able to experience it yourself.
sarah9376 3 years ago 4
Wow cab, you should really do some research before you state your opinion on something that this woman obviously knows way more about than you do.
pinkchimneys 3 years ago
Do some research before you go off shooting off your mouth, its just as safe, and often safer for a low risk pregnancy to be done this way. If you dont agree with it, dont watch it and definatly do no comment on it.

Wow - after a pretty rough birth with #1, this is just how I want my current pregnancy to end. I've just started reading Hypnobirthing and it is just so inspiring to see such a wonderful outcome. Congratulations and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!!
purpletreefrog007 3 years ago
you could tell it was really hurting her, but she somehow managed to just clench her teeth and breathe... even through the crowning.
jon7656 3 years ago
quit the opposite, I didn't clench my teeth, my face was relaxed, and I wasn't in pain. Trust me, if I was in pain, everyone would be able to hear it (like with my first birth).
I didn't post this to mislead anyone but to inspire... Everything I said and did is exactly the way it was :)
