@RedneckPeg you do have a point. Ford is the only american company that didnt need the bailout. obviously they are doing something right, especially considering they won motortrend 2012 truck of the year.
My dad had a 86 caprice interceptor...looked like crap but damn did that thing run only major thing replaced on it was the transmission....94 astro 300k miles gave it to my uncle still running strong...Hell of a van!!! 2000 astro another Hell of a van 160k miles....96 c1500 never lets us down...and the newest member of my family...an 08 Silverado....love it...bowtie all the way!!!
@RedneckPeg ya but guys like you make ford guys and ford cars dumb to hear us gm guys or i guess me love AMERICAN CARS and dont hate i love gm and love ford but i wouldnt buy one cause if im stuck with a car for 5 years it better be a gm
ford and chevy both had good and bad runs of trucks. If you had a ford or chevy that you didn't like it is probably because it was treated badly. I don't not have much respect for people who say one is better than the other because that just makes me think that they are bad mechanics and they weren't very good at working on one of the brands.
@pedro335500 do you know fuck about automobiles? Ford didn't create the automobile, just a more efficient way to make them. Why do all ford people have to troll on chevy videos? Seriously.
@RedneckPeg I had a '97 Ford Ranger and the belt always chirped whenever it was wet. My grandma has a 2006 Lincoln LS and the catalytic converter has already had to be replaced (less than 50,000 miles). My mom has a 2006 Ford Freestar, and the air/heating system has already needed repaired. I've got a 2006 Silverado and I love it. You can bleed blue, and while you're bleeding out on the interstate, I'll drive by in my truck and wave.
We have had all of them, chevy ford and dodge, still do for that matter, chevy trucks are the most reliable truck you can get, until you go to the motor. I personally am a cummins fan. i dont care what truck its in, if its a cummins ill take it. i have a 93 chevy with a 6.5 and two dodges with cummins, right now both the dodges are parked because of my lead foot and the old 6.5 chevy will fire right up and take me where i need to go. chevy at heart.
Theres a lot of one-sided brand favoritism on these types of videos. My friends like Chevy's, I don't, I always had a preference for Ford and it's took me just as far as my friends Chevy's had. But I'd rather drive a Chevy than a Toyota any day.
@RedneckPeg BTW, Ford did not start the automobile. Just to let you know Mercedes Benz did in the late 1800s. All Ford did was begin mass production with the assembly line.
EVERYBODY SAYS FORD IS THE BEST SELLING TRUCK BUT THATS BS THE GMC SIERRA AND THE SILVERADO COMBINED BEAT FORDS SALES, AND THEIR PRETTY MUCH IDENTICAL, GOOD MARKETING STRATEGY!!!
@RedneckPeg no a GM company beat Ford to the assembly line Oldsmobile Chevy vs Ford is Unfair Chevrolet will always win and there is no doubt it will aways be on top besides was it not ford with the exploding gas tanks pinto, F-150, Expedition etc

Both parties are at fault for the economic crisis, but you want to know what? If our president/congress/media is simply going to delude us and pit us against one another while our jobs are being taken away, then we need to do something about it.
Buy American made products and help businesses in America hire more workers, so we can put this country back at the top. We can start with cars =)
My 1958 Chevy truck went through Hurricane Katrina and was 30 feet under water and lost for a month. When it was found after over a month. iT had hardly any damage and we just cleaned it out and it started right up and is still a legendary cool Art car hot rod. Blowing down the road. I love my Chevy truck!!!!
For pick-up trucks, Chevy & GMC are the best. When it comes to vans, I like Ford. I don"t think Ford pick-ups last as long as Chevy, their vans are better.

0:24 thats my uncle the story was that when the ladder five engine was smashed by rubble he got in his truck and drove through most of the mess helping people get out
I love GM. I love Chevy. I fully believe in Joe Diffie's "Pick Up Man" song too. I love Chevy pick ups, and I've been busting my butt to work for Campbell-Ewald to create ads for Chevy. I haven't been hired, and now Chevy's moved on to a new agency. This is hands down one of the best spots ever created by that agency for Chevy.
@GeneralMotors96 those are the best style trucks... i love the extended cabs of the 88 through 98 Silverado... also i love the extended cabs of the 99 through 2006 Silverado...
'77 Chevy Custom Deluxe - 700,000+ miles and still ticking. All original, except for the timing chain. You'd be surprised what normal maintenance will do for a vechile.
@MegaFordtough you just assume that chevy fails at 12,000 miles? congrats on your ford btw, but i gotta hand it to ya. chevy is the only one that has FULLY PROVEN that they have the most dependable longest-lasting trucks on the road. i look around and i see mid-late 90s chevy trucks on the road today still runnin like champs. theres a reason why fords sold the most trucks for 34 years, because they keep breaking down, while chevy's motor trend truck of the year
@cardinal015 not to mention people ford is cheaper, my engine blew out on my 5.4 sohc ford. and my 5.3 gmc is still running after 400k miles. bought it used with 120k miles. best investment i made. btw my ford is a super crew 2006 with 127k miles. i'm selling cause the engine is over 5k to replace. (bought brand new)
Dude, both Chevy and Ford make great trucks. Neither one is really "better" than the other. I am personally a Ford man, but I have friends with Chevys as well. Guess what? Neither my friends, nor myself have issues with any of our trucks, they all do anything we ask and they all are great.
This whole Chevy vs. Ford is all just a bunch of marketing really. If you have an Ecoboost Ford, or a 6.0L Silverado these days, no matter what you've got a great vehicle.
@cardinal015 exactly, they are failing because you only have to buy one and it will run forever, I still own a 66 chevy truck my grandpa bought bran new, it was beat to hell, bone stock still running, a 79 chevy we have, 1.5 million miles, runs great.
1989 GMC 2500 got it new and have 275K+ on it - working (construction) and playing (pulling my dirt tracker all over the west coast). Original engine, still gets 20+ mpg empty and around 15 towing. Only repairs needed ever - dang inside door handels and the paint fell off after a while. Used? Yep. Used up? Not even breathing hard!!
i have a 1990 chevy c/k that shit looks great sounds great i love it because i beat it to crap driving it and it just wont die and its a GM i love GM there number 1 and will stay there till the world ends :)
Its all true!!! i had a chevy silverado 93, 95, 97, 01.... then i decided to try a ford.... so i buy a f150 2006..... the result?? i sell it after 6 months (2,500 miles)... and finnaly!! got a CHEVY SILVERADO 2008 :D i'm so happy! :D
you guys think 265/75 R15s (31x10.5 R15s) would fit on my 1988 chevy c1500 2WD? GM only recomends 235/75 R15s and i measured the wheel wells on the front, the tires will come really close to rubbing the front bumper. thers no lift kit, any ideas?
@LakeErieFising my chevy ran 31 no problem. mines was a 81 tho. i had a 235/75 r 15 in front and a 32x11.50 in the back. the only mod was a engine and trans swap. i switched out the 350 small block with a 400. and the th350 overdrive to a th400 hydromatic. only time it rubbed was when i was hauling a 500 gal water tank(and 2 55 gal barrels off the tail gate=P its a single cab short bed 2wd, so you shouldn't have a problem.
@zave1525 Ya man, I talked to my tire guy and he told me that the 31x10.5s would rub on the bumper in the front so i put 31s on the back and 30x9.5s on the front. It looks badass.
i work at a repair shop and the only thing bad about chevy's is the fuel pump, for the ck's from 88 and on this was a common problem. other than that, damn they were bullet proof. when my boss replaces things on other trucks he says "Now if only these cocksuckers made em like on the chevys!"
The 350 is a great engine. My mom had a 97 Yukon with 200,000 miles on it and it ran great. I can say the same for Chrysler with the 4.0 i6 and the 5.2 V8. Idk how ford is all I know is my cousin has a f250 powerstroke and there always seems to be something wrong with it but it isn't 100% stock either
You must be an idiot. Don't believe the bull shit GM tries to spew. By the way Chevy is a GM you idiot. LMAO. "Chevy is more dependable, even Gm is better" Yeah, there's a shit load of Fords with 2 million on 'em. Especially the 7.3 Diesels. Better than any Duashit engine. Buying anything other than a GM is a really smart idea.
@SecularTechnology chevy is mad by gm yes but its still its own independent truck brand and my friend had a for f150 a f250 and a f350 all have craped out on him after the first 150 000 km. my grandfathers chevy has over 4 million miles on it with the original moter in it a 1970 chevy 1500 so ford can fuck off
Chevy is mad? What does that mean. And please just shut up. We've all heard the stupid stories about how you have a friend who had a Ford or three bla bla bla. ...Yeah and had a friend who had a 10 chevys and they all broke...... give me another story.
@SecularTechnology ya my bad forgot the e in made what ever and hey u dont want to believe it thats ur problem that u dont want to face the truth and if u hate chevy so much y u watching this then?
@steveMCHS uh i have a 72 chevy the same body style/motors with the 67-72 gen and im a chevy lover but there was no 1500 in this body style there was only c/k-10 -20 -30's check your facts my friend just saying
@SecularTechnology ok your full of crap theres only a hand full of trucks cars that ever make it to a million miles so i dont want to hear "there's a shit load of Fords with 2 million on 'em. Especially the 7.3 Diesels" ok if im talking diesel to last the test of time im getting a cummins not becuz its the best bull shit becuz it has the least parts to ware down and break but there is no better motor the the 350 thats what makes almost any chevy great its not the company its a damn good motor
I was in a wreck today involving my 2009 Chevy Impala. A guy rear-ended me with his 2007 Toyota Camry. My Impala survived with only a dent in the bumper. The Toyota had to be towed because of the damage to it. The owners of the Toyota asked me what kind of car I was driving because of how well it stood up to the accident. They said they might get one to replace the Toyota. Chevy like a rock!
my dad truck out lasted everything it was 18 years old it had so many miles on but it was there all the time for us we never had to worry about it it was because it was chevy chevy last forever i will only drive chevy or gm nothing else feed are own kind
Got a buddy thats got a 99 with 285k, a buddy with a 98 got 320k, and a buddy with a 97 got 375k. the last two are even lifted and still goin strong every day. I got a 96 with 91k, and its goin to college with me in about three years, i aint lettin got of it until at least 300k. gotta love these ol trucks, theyll last forever
i let my uncle borrow my '99 silverado and he drove from michigan to virginia towing a uhaul in 4wd through tht crazy snow storm in 08 or 09. 142,000 miles on my truck
i own a 1972 chevy c-10 that has over 180,000 miles on it and i changed the engine in it to bring it back to its prime. i didnt have to change the engine, but i thought my truck could use more of a kick ass rumbling 350. :). chevy... not just a truck but a life style.
We have a '94 Silverado with 231,500 miles on it, and it's still going strong with no major repairs, i can't say that from a F150 an uncle had (at 100K thay had to open up the engine).
I have an 93 Silverado with 181,xxx miles miles. Never has let me down. and Im the 2nd owner. Also own a 89 Chevrolet 4x4 with well over 200,xxx and is a beast. Although it needs some TLC in a couple of areas but every time I jump in either one it starts right up.
you know how many chevy work trucks i see around southern california? none. every other truck i see is a service truck for some company and they all use powerstrokes because they can actually take the rough abuse unlike a duramax. and cummins cant even get its feet wet. lets at least agree on that last thing.
@MegaFordtough heyman let me tell you how wrong your statement is right now. alright, im an american made truck guy, no bias here chevy ford dodge there all good. but a cummins, is the most ruggedly internally built MEDIUM DUTY diesel on the market, 2nd is the dmax. powerstroke is classified as a light duty. also the two engines that dodge and chevy put out are the absolute longest lasting. granted everything has bugs due to new emissions control, but most of the pstrokes ive seen are the worst

$16 billion huh? more like GM got $14 billion while ford was selling cars. Ford got nothing from the democrats in office. do research on anything like that before saying something that is not true, dumbass.
@MegaFordtough we've had 93 ford taurus and 99 f 150, f150 peice o crap tranny, taurus spark plugs, radiator and just about everything else got shot to hell.
@xBringinSexyBack95x well im talking about the truck was BRAND new. i mean c'mon. its pretty pathetic. everyday ill walk outside and see a silverado on a flatbed ford. then i think to myself, at least ford was never bankrupt.
@MegaFordtough that's weird because I've sean fords broke down on the side of the road everyday. and ur and idiot if you don't know Ford got a bailout from the Federal Reserve Bank, about 16 billion because very few investors were spending it means nothing as to the quality of the company or the product, ford just sucks not because of its bailout but because they're cheaply made unreliable pieces of shit
@MegaFordtough hahaha, you know how many BRAND NEW Fords I've seen in my brother's shop because the ford mechanics need to sublet out the warranty work? Especially the dual turbo pieces of crap they put out a few years back. Every fan of a certain truck will badmouth the other just because it's their "rival". Fords suck. It's in the dictionary.
LOL@ 81-07 Models excluding GMC disclaimer. Our 01 Silverado had a leaky head gasket at 93,000 KM (after 7 years) and our 08 GMC has been only slightly higher than a complete disappointment so far. I grew up with Chevy, and stood by them, but if I had to get a truck tomorrow, I'd get a Ford. Good thing I don't so I can stick with the BEST. VEHICLE. EVER: Honda Odyssey. A real MAN'S CAR RRRAAAWWWWWRRRR!!!1
@RedneckPeg you do have a point. Ford is the only american company that didnt need the bailout. obviously they are doing something right, especially considering they won motortrend 2012 truck of the year.

When it was found after over a month. iT had hardly any damage and we just cleaned it out and it started right up and is still a legendary cool Art car hot rod. Blowing down the road. I love my Chevy truck!!!!
shelbyatthebeach 4 months ago 2
For pick-up trucks, Chevy & GMC are the best. When it comes to vans, I like Ford. I don"t think Ford pick-ups last as long as Chevy, their vans are better.

MegaFordtough 6 months ago
@MegaFordtough you just assume that chevy fails at 12,000 miles? congrats on your ford btw, but i gotta hand it to ya. chevy is the only one that has FULLY PROVEN that they have the most dependable longest-lasting trucks on the road. i look around and i see mid-late 90s chevy trucks on the road today still runnin like champs. theres a reason why fords sold the most trucks for 34 years, because they keep breaking down, while chevy's motor trend truck of the year
cardinal015 6 months ago 19
@cardinal015 not to mention people ford is cheaper, my engine blew out on my 5.4 sohc ford. and my 5.3 gmc is still running after 400k miles. bought it used with 120k miles. best investment i made. btw my ford is a super crew 2006 with 127k miles. i'm selling cause the engine is over 5k to replace. (bought brand new)
zave1525 5 months ago
@cardinal015 and @MegaFordtough
If you have an Ecoboost Ford, or a 6.0L Silverado these days, no matter what you've got a great vehicle.
sixt9coug 4 months ago
@cardinal015 exactly, they are failing because you only have to buy one and it will run forever, I still own a 66 chevy truck my grandpa bought bran new, it was beat to hell, bone stock still running, a 79 chevy we have, 1.5 million miles, runs great.

1989 GMC 2500 got it new and have 275K+ on it - working (construction) and playing (pulling my dirt tracker all over the west coast). Original engine, still gets 20+ mpg empty and around 15 towing. Only repairs needed ever - dang inside door handels and the paint fell off after a while. Used? Yep. Used up? Not even breathing hard!!

you guys think 265/75 R15s (31x10.5 R15s) would fit on my 1988 chevy c1500 2WD? GM only recomends 235/75 R15s and i measured the wheel wells on the front, the tires will come really close to rubbing the front bumper. thers no lift kit, any ideas?
LakeErieFising 9 months ago
@LakeErieFising my chevy ran 31 no problem. mines was a 81 tho. i had a 235/75 r 15 in front and a 32x11.50 in the back. the only mod was a engine and trans swap. i switched out the 350 small block with a 400. and the th350 overdrive to a th400 hydromatic. only time it rubbed was when i was hauling a 500 gal water tank(and 2 55 gal barrels off the tail gate=P its a single cab short bed 2wd, so you shouldn't have a problem.
zave1525 9 months ago
@zave1525 Ya man, I talked to my tire guy and he told me that the 31x10.5s would rub on the bumper in the front so i put 31s on the back and 30x9.5s on the front. It looks badass.
LakeErieFising 9 months ago
i work at a repair shop and the only thing bad about chevy's is the fuel pump, for the ck's from 88 and on this was a common problem. other than that, damn they were bullet proof. when my boss replaces things on other trucks he says "Now if only these cocksuckers made em like on the chevys!"

The 350 is a great engine. My mom had a 97 Yukon with 200,000 miles on it and it ran great. I can say the same for Chrysler with the 4.0 i6 and the 5.2 V8. Idk how ford is all I know is my cousin has a f250 powerstroke and there always seems to be something wrong with it but it isn't 100% stock either
randomhero713 10 months ago
@comptonassmoudi
SecularTechnology 10 months ago
@SecularTechnology chevy is mad by gm yes but its still its own independent truck brand and my friend had a for f150 a f250 and a f350 all have craped out on him after the first 150 000 km. my grandfathers chevy has over 4 million miles on it with the original moter in it a 1970 chevy 1500 so ford can fuck off
steveMCHS 10 months ago

@SecularTechnology ok your full of crap theres only a hand full of trucks cars that ever make it to a million miles so i dont want to hear "there's a shit load of Fords with 2 million on 'em. Especially the 7.3 Diesels" ok if im talking diesel to last the test of time im getting a cummins not becuz its the best bull shit becuz it has the least parts to ware down and break but there is no better motor the the 350 thats what makes almost any chevy great its not the company its a damn good motor
WS6TRANAM 10 months ago
@WS6TRANAM
Yeah that's obvious. And there is a few 7.3's with the 1.5 mil badge on um. The 7.3 is the equivalent of the Cummins 12v 5.9 in reliability.

Chevy like a rock!

you know how many chevy work trucks i see around southern california? none. every other truck i see is a service truck for some company and they all use powerstrokes because they can actually take the rough abuse unlike a duramax. and cummins cant even get its feet wet. lets at least agree on that last thing.

@MegaFordtough that's weird because I've sean fords broke down on the side of the road everyday. and ur and idiot if you don't know Ford got a bailout from the Federal Reserve Bank, about 16 billion because very few investors were spending it means nothing as to the quality of the company or the product, ford just sucks not because of its bailout but because they're cheaply made unreliable pieces of shit
xBringinSexyBack95x 1 year ago
@MegaFordtough hahaha, you know how many BRAND NEW Fords I've seen in my brother's shop because the ford mechanics need to sublet out the warranty work?
