every religion believes they should spread their beliefs to save as many people as they can, its not disgusting. Jahovas witnesses knock on ya door but if u tell them to leave u alone they do. I also disagree about saying its brainwashin people. Fair enough if you are talking to a 3Y.O. saying "This IS DEFINATELY what is true" that is brainwashing, but teaching them "this might be true" is not. im not a parent im 17.i was shown no religion as a kid, both my parents are atheists. I took Religious Education in high school and learnt about islam, judaism and christianity. Im taking Religious Studies in College now, i took it in the hopes of learning more about the religions but we only get taught about christianity. i agree we should be taught all beliefs from birth, but its hard isnt it. Just gotta hope people decide on their own, from what they ARE taught.
