Try using masking tape to mount the camera on the underside of the top of the steering wheel if that makes any sense... lol. Makes things a lot easier if you can do it. :)
I do notice the VVTL-i engagement point at 6800 rpm is much higher up than a K20 which starts at 6000. You have a much narrower powerband with the XRS.
@MickyMickyto0 I like the XRS idea overall, and would be happy in either. But, the 1.8 XRS seems to be the quicker overall platform for engine choice and overall weight. I really wanted to buy the Celica GTS back about 3 years ago, but they want a lot of money for those in used condition. It is ashame they got rid of the Celica. I wish they got the MR-2 back also, but not the final generation, the turbo model is the one I liked. Even the supercharged one was neat. I like quick fuel savers.
this is just my stop watch but I got 6.5 seconds to 60MPH and 16.3 to 100MPH. What are your mods or are you stock? That is about a 14.9 in the 1/4 mile or so.
Nice!! Why the sound change at 7krpm? It's the VVT system (sounds like VTEC xD)?
Like 7seg for me...

Toyota was stupid when they replaced this fantastic motor with the lazy Camry engine for the 09-10 XRS... it doesnt even deserve the XRS badge on it.

It has the power but it's electronically limited which makes the power somewhat irrelevant at that point...

Top speed was 210km (130MPH) in 5th, not enough power to use the 6th gear.

Never tested 0-100, but my best 0-60 time was 7.1. 1/4 in 15.4, mine was stock. Wish I still had it though : (
