  • Iran had always had the world's most extensive collections of imperial jewels, including palaces, right up till the end of the reign of the shah. But all that, as well as all of Iran, was laid to loot and waste by the Islamist/Marxist revolutionries who came to desicrate Iran, all with the guidence and support of the Great Powers. Those palaces and imperial jewels always served as nothing but an artistic, cultural, financial,... and political pillar of Iran. And the Shah was a guardian of that.
