  • for me, this is just a little too slow, if they had this just a tad faster in certain parts that would be great

  • i personaly prefer the original. the music and vocals dont match as well. this certainly has merit tho

  • This song reminds me of that book trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater. The one thats goes like Shiver, Linger, then Forever. I could totally see sam singing this. Plus its sounds like music he would listen to.

  • I think this version is so much better than the other one.

  • way better then the first walking the the dog

  • I always have felt that fun's lyrics never made any sense. The Format has some really great lyrics. I'm not sure who wrote the lyrics. I do like fun. a lot better than The Format, though. For most people I think it's the opposite. Does anyone know who created the aim and ignite album art? This has been a comment.

  • This is gorgeous

  • I always compare Fun. to Queen :p

  • completely different feels to mraz and fun. not fair to compare them. i love them both (especially the first mraz album) but they're just not the same. mraz is all about the wordplay, whereas fun is more for the hook and the vocals. don't judge him just for the last album, people. (i know it sucks.)

  • @frankis213 Did you say "We Sing We Dance We Steal Things" sucks?! that is a work of art! and I adore fun. and Jason too.

  • @BobbyJaeNJ it's certainly not great. and it's nothing compared to mraz' first album (which i love).

  • seriously cant wait for the new album!!!

  • Sometimes, the upbeat music can cause you to forget the raw emotion underlying the actual song. This song is a reminder.

  • Perfect display of Fun's musical ability. Turn an upbeat "happy" song into a beautiful bitter-sweet ballad. *applause*

  • This version hits my heart more and seems so beautiful. The other is amazing too though. I can't choose my favorite, they both have completely different feels. I feel this one suits the song very well though.

  • @CuduSassy they have an upbeating sound thought and this is just all depression

  • @portisv308 look at the lyrics to "benson hedges"

    that's really not upbeat

same with the gambler and this

  • i love the original, but this version is beautiful :)

  • THE OTHER VERSION IS WAYYY BETTER. THIS SOUNDS TO DEPRESSING

  • @portisv308 The lyrics are depressing. Ever listened to them?

  • Hey... See that tear drop in my eye? Yeah. Its from this. Jus' sayin'.

  • I'ma learn this.

  • Better than the original (both awesome though)

  • not as great as the original!

  • DUDE THIS WAS SO COOOOOL. i felt the lyrics so much more than the original. and i love the original. but this was amazing. hearing it this way.

  • What the deuce?! How did they do that? I think I may love this band.

  • i am sorry but the format was so much better

  • @CookingOnSunday The Format was definately a great band but I think Nate in this band is way more "fun". See that? See what i did?

  • @DPL12345 very clever my friend but i will let you hold your own opinion :-)

  • @CookingOnSunday did you just lookup a fun song to say that ;-;... they both create good moosic. anyways all fun has really released is aim and ignite so give them time. but i must say if work permits still has a special place in my heart

  • @ImDarkie not exactly, but fun. is good i guess the formats songs have sunk deeper into my soul and i may just have to give fun. more time to move me like the format did, so i agree with you but no disrespect to nate ruess and his band mates fun. is definitely a great band.

  • like x's 323048239482934234234

  • his voice in this song mkes me sleeeepy :) *content dreamy smile*

  • This left me speechless.

I'm always listening to the other version, but this one is simply more beautiful. :')

  • mraz meets mercury

  • @swingAE86 exactly.I hear it also, you couldnt have put it any better.

  • this is so awesomely beautiful

  • this is so sad, but it really does do more justice to the lyrics this way

  • aw. i have the cd, and mine didn't come with the bomus song... :(

  • this is better than the original in my opinion

  • @enoching7 this is the original. they had the band change it because they thought it wasnt going to be a hit. i think this does the song so much more justice. i love this version <3

  • :O I wish I bought the CD instead.

  • He had to make a depressing version of such a happy song!

  • @requiemforatrain94 it shows that the band has the ability to get totally different moods out of the same song and lyrics...shows that the band is legit in my opinion :)

  • @soccer2793 The lyrics were always kind of depressing in the original version. By the way, that's a nice assessment of the music. It really proves them a decent band.

  • In this one you can actually tell what the lyrics are but the other is better

  • this version is depressing....

  • Oh wow, this made me think of the song in a totally different way. It's not all happy and cheerful, haha. ):

  • Much better than the original Fo'sho

  • I think this version conveys the message of the lyrics better :D

  • oh my please dont compare mraz and fun lol

  • so chillll :]

  • Imoriginalnot does have quite a point.. I don't think they're trying to start any fights. They said nothing other than their own opinion. leave it be guys.

I'm just glad this voice is carried on even with The Format broken up.

  • can't wait to see them in October :D

  • @ImOriginalNot Go take a lap for saying something so stupid. Now go and think about what you just said.

  • @ImOriginalNot that was quite possibly the stupidest comment i've ever read, you disgust me.

  • @ImOriginalNot The Format and fun. are equally awesome bands. Nate left, deal with it. :|

  • @ImOriginalNot

You're just trying to start a fight.

    Shut up.

If you need attention, go jump off a roof.

That should get you on the news. Plenty of attention there. =)

  • @punkbohaty you are my child or farther cause my comments are so much like this

  • I miss the Format still. Nate is an hero.

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG OFF OF AIM AND IGNITE.

Its so soft. I love it.

"you wanted better love, its sleeping in your bedroom"

  • these guys rock the right way

    ʎɐʍ pɹıǝʍ ǝɥʇ puɐ

  • if you listen its really not the same as "if it kills me" by Mraz. they do sound similar, but definately not the same.

  • I really enjoy this.

  • @taylorrspeaking you took the words right out of my mouth.

  • Omg this is awesome. How could I get this version?

  • its a bonus track or on itunes

just download it from rhapsody or jango

  • Beach Boys meets The Verve...good effort like the original pop feel better.

  • aaaahhh... I love this version.

  • Comparing fun. to Mraz! HAHA

  • @ObviouslyJacques are you serious? he gave them a big break. please.

  • Ok? They gave fun. a break. How does this justify anything of comparing fun. to Jason Mraz?

  • @ObviouslyJacques have you heard "if it kills me" by mraz? its almost chord-for-chord the same as this version of walking the dog. im just sayin a fact, christ.

  • Yeah, and there are very high chances that there was another song before that, which was "chord-for-chord". Just because songs have some of the same chords means nothing. Most mainstream music songs can all be played with the same chords. Stop thinking Mraz as the king of originality.

Also, I have no idea where you got that info that Mraz gave fun. any break at all.

  • @gatorsrule062002

Mraz isn't exactly the master of originality..."I'm Yours" has the exact same chords as "Over the Rainbow"...there's hardly anything truly original anymore, but those who borrow make things their own.

  • @homecatorange There are a lot of songs with the same chords and chord progressions.

  • @ObviouslyJacques LOL i know right? Jason Mraz is just some dude with a hat who writes simple songs. Fun. is an amazingly unique yet familiar band full of real musicians and composers. A more flattering and accurate comparison would be The beach boys, Queen, The bealtes, and I hear alot of E.L.O. is them as well.

  • @NTravitz ....i like both to me they can't be compared because the don't do the same kind of music but i do love fun more but not all of jason mraz's songs are simple i'm yours is the simplest song that he wrote but all of his songs have a deep meaning

  • Good song to just jam when your ripped
