When I told her that no, you actually don't for a personal beliefs exemption, she got really upset and told me that I didn't understand and that her mom is a cardiologist!!! Like I care!!! She ended up hanging up on me! Keep calling and make them correct themselves and disclose the right to an exemption. This is outrageous!!!

He was very cooperative and said the station was trying to capture this school district in their authoritarian likeness I asked why they didn't include the exemption options in the video and he said they are going to do a follow up piece with that included.

Because anyone with a basic understanding of how vaccines work will tell you that vaccines work by infecting you with the virus so that your body DOES develop the antibodies to fight it of for the rest of your life. I would never worry about them. Both my parents are doctors. They LAUGH at people who oppose vaccines. They are very aware of side effects, which is essentially a mathematical number hovering around one half of one percent, and then serious side effects are around one half of one percent of that. Even with the H1N1, they were surprised at how low the side effect rate was!

I don't look at it as a matter of "I'm safe". Innocent children still die from the negligence/stupidity of parents.

I didn't go along with it. It is a simple signature on a piece of paper. But, if people are not informed, then they are likely to just do it. There was a very bad epidemic of whooping cough that was going around here in my area of CA, a few children even died. My son is in his teens and I didn't see any reason to vaccinate him because his chances from dying from it were so slim, it wasn't worth the risk of any potential side effects. :D

Well, I opted my child out of this (signed thew waiver when I enrolled him). Ironically, his new school had at least 3 calls to our home telling us he has to have it. He said they have been doing over-the-monitor ANNOUNCEMENTS AT SCHOOL FOR IT AS WELL AND TELLING KIDS THEY COULDN'T RETURN IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT. My son thought he couldn't return, so I had to remind him we did the waiver and he was okay... over kill. but to go the houses like this... wow!!! no words!

He's made friends, but he wants to go back to home-schooling next year. I'm keeping an eye on things and am 100% involved in everything he's doing. Kind of reminded me of the H1N1 hype & all the free shots they gave AT THE SCHOOL SITES back (eyes rolling). I have noticed with my son's new school they have these posters on the walls that say TRUANCY IS A CRIME. They make it seem like if U missed school you'll go to jail like some criminal. That really bothers me, but again, I'm completely paying attention to everything!
