  • superb!

  • Scherbakov's final pose in the Blue Bird variation is different to the one I've seen performed by Anton Korsakov. I prefer this one because it reminds me a little of the Dying Swan, which makes sense since the Blue Bird of the fairy tale hurt his wings and almost died before he was turned back into a man.

  • Is it possible too go that fast Beautiful

  • Yana Selina manages to be technically brilliant, funny, charming, and sexy all at the same time. WTH is wrong with Mariinsky management for not promoting this incredible ballerina long ago??

  • does anyone know of a really good video showing the "step of cat"....we're doing that in my ballet class and im really havingh trouble with it and the arms...

  • As usual, thanks for the fascinating notes: both yours and those of Mr. Fullington.

  • So many things are felt awkward in this reconstruction.

Still we can see the best Diamaond Fairy & White Cat together.

    Thank you for posting this!

  • I love it!

The Diamond Fairy is awesome. Viktoria Tereshkina is so sparkling! She has an amazing technic.

Thank you so much for posting it!

PS: I love your description! It is so interesting.

  • i just love the puss in boots & white cat music...so playful yet mysterious...kinda like cats! I enjoyed the Blue Bird & Princess Florine pas de deux but I feel like I've seen more fluid Blue Birds. I also felt that some of the transitions were a bit awkward but I still enjoyed. (just opinions...i'm a balletomane...not an expert)

  • she is amazing, but her arms are a little floppy. besides that, omg shes amazing!

  • I LOVE the cats!!! very fun to watch

  • for pas de quatre costumes are wonderful, for cats...i don' t like their costumes!!

  • Wow - Tereshkina really sparkles as the Diamond Fairy. She's wonderful!

  • One wise thing when reconstructing the ballet is they didn't use the Bluebird's 1890 hat (the one that's basically a carved bird) but the one you see from photos later in the 1890s.

  • Ugh I see that! THANKS :)

  • Isn't there some controversy about the choreography for the Blue Bird in this reconstrcuted pas de deux? Maybe in his solo?

  • yes I cemmented on it in my notes

  • Is the cat yana selina? because if it is, i like her but i don't like the extension she seems to show here, and i don't really like yulia bolshakova's lines.

  • who was dancing this Bluebird? anyone know?

  • thanks - I meant the bird :)
