Nice Lestat, then :-) And BTW, to say that Robert Pattinson would make a great Lestat sounds almost like an insult to me and other fans of this TRUE vampire. Edward Cullen is NOTHING compared to Lestat de Lioncourt, tho I like Ed, too. But he is like a sparkling, whining EMO pansy... more like Louis, Lestat´s companion, then.

This movie takes me back home to New Orleans. I empathize with Louis when he talks about the sweet aroma of New Orleans. My city always walks that tight rope of creativity, insanity, beauty and danger. But when you leave it you miss it because you realize how original it is. You can travel the world just as Louis did but you always long for home. Something special and mysterious about New Orleans and it has no equal anywhere else in the states. Everything else just seems to be so cookie cut.

I immediately fell in love and everyday I miss that very aroma that Louis perfectly describes. I feel that when I left a piece of me stayed there because ever since the only thing I can think about is when I will be able to go back. I actually plan on moving there one day.

LOVE how this song perfectly captures Claudia's frame of mind - the frenzied violins portraying her insanity and the piano for when she is composed.. but it's also very creepy giving us a glimpse at how she's always about to snap. She's just driven mad by how her mind is ancient but she'll forever look like and be treated as a child... she never got to experience life as a woman and never will... >:P well also cuz now she's dead...

A very good film, one of my favourite. It's a shame that not many vampire films are made with such quality. Another great film is Bram Stoker's Dracula; another one of my all time favourites.

I had to write an essay years back on Murnau's 1922 Nosferatu... A silent movie but quite creepy for its time.
